When we mentioned that those sea shells were actually created out of UTEE, many of you asked how it was done. So, Debbie was kind enough to create a new entry for our Tips & Techniques page that explains how she made them!
So fun, right?? Debbie's technique can be used to re-create any small object that you'd like to mold for your projects. Head over to our website for the step-by-step guide and give it a try!
And last but not least, Jenni Bowlin has created a video in which she shares some of her favorite techniques using her Jenni Bowlin for Ranger dye inks and acrylic paint dabbers. Learn how to create clever aged paper effects and how to add a shabby-chic finish to your favorite embellishments!
We hope you give some of these projects and techniques a try! Which of the March features are you most excited about?
Clare H was the winner of our Name That Product contest earlier this month, and she has a special treat for all of her fellow Ranger fans! Instead of just tearing open the prize package when it arrived (we don't know how she was able to resist!), she kept it intact and then filmed herself opening it!
Head over to Clare's blog to "open" the package with her, and share in Clare's excitement as she finds out what goodies were contained within!
Yesterday, Tim Holtz made three appearances on HSN and presented several collections of Ranger products, as well as items from his collaborations with Stampers Anonymous and Sizzix. Thanks to Mario (King of Tweets!), we have a couple of behind-the-scenes snaps to share:
If you missed Tim's appearance, never fear! Hop on over to HSN's website, where you can still purchase many of the collections and watch videos from the show as well! (Just click on any product, and if a video is available, the link will be right under the main product photo.)
Good afternoon, crafters! This is a friendly reminder that applications for the first session of Ranger U for 2011 (April 29 – May 1) are due this Monday, March 21! If you are interested in spending three amazing days learning directly from our signature designers while rubbing elbows with your fellow craft enthusiasts, be sure to visit the Ranger U page on our website for all of the details and to download the application (MS Word format).
Did you know that you do not have to be a store owner to attend Ranger U? We are looking for students from a wide range of backgrounds including: teachers, demonstrators, published designers, active bloggers and craft product manufacturers, in addition to store owners!
Are you intending to apply to one of the 2011 Ranger U sessions? Let us know in the comments!
That's right! It's an Inkssentials Rub It Scrub It Stamp Cleaning Pad, and the first person to correctly guess it was Clare H! (Incidentally, Clare was the first person to comment, period… looks like someone really knows her Ranger gear!!)
Congratulations, Clare H! Please contact us at blog@rangerink.com with your shipping details, and we'll have a lovely product assortment on its way to you!
Thanks to everyone who played; we hope you had fun trying to Name That Product!
Keep watching the Ranger blog main page because in one hour (at 12 noon EST) we will be launching our new "Name That Product" contest! We will post a distorted or extremely close-up shot of a favorite Ranger product, and the first person to comment on the blog post with the correct product name will win a selection of Ranger goodies!
If you love Ranger, love having fun, and love to win free goodies, we’ve got a great new contest for you!
This coming Monday, March 14 at 12 noon EST we will be posting a photo of a mystery Ranger product right here on our blog. It might not be obvious what the product is at first: it could be a slightly distorted photo, or maybe an extreme close-up of the product or its packaging. But in any case, it is up to you to guess what the mystery product is!
Make sure you are watching our blog when the contest begins (hint: you might need to refresh the page to see the post pop up at noon) because the first person to comment on the blog post with the correct product name will win a fabulous selection of Ranger products!
