Debby Dares… to Distress!

April 14th, 2011

We received a lovely email from Debby Lewis of the Debby's Dare blog today:

"You posted a project called Distress Ink Artsy Tag a week or so ago.  I avidly read Ranger Blog.  I was very inspired by the techniques and the project itself.  I decided to use it on a layout.  Attached is the close up and the layout is on my blog.

I wanted to say thanks for the inspiration and the instructions that go with all your projects you share on Ranger Inks Blog.  You make me think and then push me to use it on my paper projects."

DebbyLayout
Pretty awesome, right?  Thanks for sharing this with us, Debby!  We are so glad that you found inspiration in our blog, and this is a wonderful example of how the techniques we share can be adapted to be used in any project!

Check out Debby's blog to see her full layout and read about her creative process.  Be sure to show her some love in her comments, too!

Have you found inspiration in the projects, tips and techniques we have shared?  Please feel free to post photos of your projects on our Facebook wall or email them to us at blog@rangerink.com.  We love to see your work!

Congrats to our Easter Egg Hunt Winners!

April 12th, 2011

We're so glad that so many of you really seemed to enjoy today's Easter Egg Hunt on RangerInk.com!  The contest is now complete and we would like to announce the locations of all three eggs as well as the names of our two lucky winners!

The first clue, announced on our blog this morning, was:

"To find the first egg, put your thinking cap on tight,
Because the solution may not be as simple as black and white…
(or maybe it is!!)"

The corresponding egg was hidden on the product page for Inkssentials Enamel Accents, which come in both black and white!

Egg1

When clicking on the blue egg, the next clue popped up:

"To give an Easter basket filled with chocolates isn't hard,
But it takes a true blue friend to craft a handmade card!"

This one was a little trickier.  To find the egg, you had to browse our Projects page under the Cards & Tags heading and find the project titled "True Friend Card."  The egg was located at the bottom of that page!

Egg2

Clicking on the green egg revealed the final clue:

"On Easter it's tradition to dip some eggs in dye,
But not to use a pigment ink; did you ever wonder why?"

On our Video page, we have a video explaining the differences between Adirondack Dye Inks and Adirondack Pigment Inks.  The final egg was located on that page!

Egg3

Clicking on the pink egg revealed the secret message to be emailed to us:

"The Easter Bunny might bring me candy, or an egg or two I think,
But I'd be so much happier with a prize from Ranger Ink!!"

Two of our Egg Hunters will be getting a prize from Ranger Ink indeed!

One prize goes to the person who solved the puzzle first.  And with an amazing time of only FOUR MINUTES to find all three eggs, our prize goes to Ron Wilhelm!  Congratulations, Ron!

Another prize will be awarded to one of our other successful Egg Hunters!  By 4pm EST we received exactly 75 correct responses.  Our random winner is #35, Denise Parcells!  Congratulations, Denise!

Ron and Denise, please contact blog@rangerink.com with your shipping details, and your prizes will be on their way!

Thank you to everyone for playing!  We hope you had fun and maybe even discovered some pages on RangerInk.com that you would like to revisit in the future!

It’s Easter Egg Hunt Time!!!

April 12th, 2011

Remember, the contest is open from 11am – 4pm EST.  Browse RangerInk.com to find all three Easter eggs, and then email blog@rangerink.com with the secret message after finding the final egg!  A prize will be given to the FIRST correct response, and another prize will be randomly given to one of the other correct responses received before 4pm EST.

Here is your first clue!

"To find the first egg, put your thinking cap on tight,
Because the solution may not be as simple as black and white…
(or maybe it is!!)"

Good luck!!

One hour to go…

April 12th, 2011

Our Easter Egg Hunt game will begin one hour from now!  If you missed yesterday's post, check it out for an explanation of how to participate in the contest.

See you in an hour!

Easter Egg Hunt Contest on RangerInk.com!

April 11th, 2011

We're so eggs-cited to announce a new contest that we have planned in honor of Easter!

Here's what you have to do in order to play:

At 11am EST tomorrow, April 12, we will be posting a clue here on our blog that will refer to a specific page on RangerInk.com.  It might be a product page, it might be a video, it could be a project, or it could be something else entirely!

When you think you know what the clue is referring to, find that page on RangerInk.com to see if there is an Easter Egg on that page!  When you find the egg, click on it to receive your next clue to find the 2nd egg.  There will be 3 eggs to find in total.

Egg
When you find the final egg, click on it to receive a special message.  Then email that message to blog@rangerink.com!

We will be giving out two prizes.  One prize will go to the FIRST email we receive with the correct message!  The other prize will go to a randomly selected email from ALL of the correct responses we receive BEFORE 4pm EST!  That way, there's a bit of a race element to the game, but as long as you find all three eggs within that 5 hour span of time, you can still win a prize!

The lucky winners will be announced shortly after the contest closes.

Good luck!!  And hop-py hunting!
