We have been reading your comments and emails and wated to say thank you for your concern. Thankfully, as far as we know, all Ranger employees are safe, but dealing with the after effects of this destructive storm. Our thoughts are with anyone who has been impacted by the hurricane, and are hoping that everyone will recover soon. We will keep you updated on Ranger news via our blog , Twitter and Facebook.
We wanted to share this awesome Retro Halloween Box Candy Colwell made with Tim Holtz Distress Products, Embossing Products, Archival Inks and more. Use it for a centerpiece on your Halloween Party Table, display it on your mantle, or how about using it as a treat holder for those all the little tricksters that visit your home. Another idea suggested by Candy is to pick a favorite side of the box and make a card. Can’t pick a favorite? We understand, you’ll just have to make them all!
As we mentioned last week, the Dream Team from Dreamweaver Stencils have been showcasing their amazing techniques that combines Tim Holtz® Distress Embossing Powders with a fun stencil on double sided mounting paper.
It’s week two of Festively Distressed and that means the “Dream Team” has come up with another round of incredible projects and is offering another chance to win a Fall Prize Pack. Take a look:
One of the great things about our website is that we are constantly adding new things for you to check out, no matter what your favorite type of crafting is. We just wanted to take a second to point out a few of the new items that we’ve added over the past week or so.
Halloween is almost here, but it’s not too late to make some super cute Halloween cards. Claudine Hellmuth came up with these great, quick and easy cards that you can make in about 20 minutes! Check out the project page here to see everything you need along with step-by-step instructions.
Claudine also showcased these fun cards at this year’s CHA Summer show. Check out the video below from Scrap Time to watch Claudine go over every step to create this wonderful card!
Today we wanted to take a moment to highlight a very cool technique created by Louise Healy that we saw done by the team over at Dreamweaver Stencils. By using Tim Holtz® Distress Embossing Powders with a fun stencil (like the ones by Dreamweaver!) on double sided mounting paper you can create this interesting effect.
We gave the “Dream Team” a bunch of Tim Holtz® Distress Embossing Powders to see just how versatile this technique can be. Check out the links below to see the various projects you can create using this technique.

We had some special guests here at Ranger today. New Jersey Lt Governor Kim Guadagno and the Mayor of Tinton Falls, Michael Skudera, stopped by as a part of the Lt. Governor’s tour of the Garden State’s manufacturing sector that is going on all this month.
We had the opportunity to give them a tour of our facility and talk about ways our local and state government can help us continue to grow while creating additional local jobs by utilizing New Jersey’s Business Action Center.
During her visit, the Lt Governor, who is a resident of nearby Monmouth Beach, was amazed to see the wide range of products that are produced right in her own backyard.
We talked about how many of our “raw materials” are produced or sourced right here in NJ – everything from plastic bottles and stamp pad cases to the special bubble gum scent that goes into our 4oz stamp cleaner! We were proud to show Lt. Governor Guadagno the products that we export to countries all around the world, as well as the products that we produce by partnering with other “Made In USA” companies such as Art Gone Wild, Vintaj, and Crafter’s Workshop.
It was an absolute honor to have Lt. Governor Guadagno and Mayor Skudera visit our headquarters. We are proud to be made in NJ and look forward to continuing to produce great products right here in the USA.
What do you think? Do you look for products that are made in the USA when you shop? If so, what are some of your favorite products that are made close to home?
Is there any limit to the ways you can use Tim Holtz® Distress™ Markers on a project? We don’t think there is! The September/October 2012 issues of Paper Crafts magazine features SIX fantastic marker techniques.
It’s officially Friday and while that is usually joyful enough by itself, we decided to kick things up a notch by sharing some of our projects with you, as well as announce the winners from last week’s distress contest.
As you may know, every month Tim Holtz posts a new tag featuring a fun and exciting technique. Last month Tim showed everyone how to achieve a “cool industrial faux riveted metal look” and we came up with a plethora of our own projects that featured that great technique. This month Tim created a Halloween themed tag that featured some cool techniques inspired by a recent workshop he taught.
After seeing what he created, we just had to get to work! Check out what we came up with!
Hey everyone. Well it was another busy week and weekend for everyone at Ranger, but we had a great time at the Collins FALL 2012 Education & Trade Show. If you follow us on Facebook, you probably saw that we caught the master of BTS himself, Mario Rossi, in our own BTS (Behind The Scenes)! He calls it sneaky, but we call it “photojournalism.”
