Guess This Ranger Product Revealed! (and some surprise winners!)

February 28th, 2013

And the answer is…

Wow! That was a tough one! We had tons of guesses this time around and many of you were convinced that it was either Distress Paint or Stain, but only 3 people hit the nail right on the head and were able to name the product AND the color! The 3 Dylusions experts are:

  • Shannon Barnum via Facebook
  • Kathleen Hodgins via Facebook
  • Pamela Bennet via our Blog

You three proved that you know a bottle of Dylusions when you see one, so to reward you, we’d like to give each of you a set of the brand spankin’ new 9×12 Annie, Flossie, and Bert Dylusions Stencils!

To claim your prize, simply send an email to blog@rangerink.com with your mailing address and we’ll get your new Dylusions Stencils out to you. Thanks again to everyone that participated and congratulations to the winners!

February Inspiration from Around the Web

February 12th, 2013

While you can certainly find a ton of inspiration, projects, tips, and techniques right here at Rangerink.com, we know there is so much out there, so we decided to round up a few awesome posts we’ve come across around the web to share with you!

First up we have an amazing “Love Is In The Air” tag by Paula Cheney. In this project, Paula started out testing how the new Tim Holtz Distress Paints would work as a resist and ends up with a gorgeous tag! Click here to head over to One Lucky Day to check it out.

When it comes to love inspired projects, you can definitely go the Dylusions route as well. That’s exactly what May Flaum decided to do. Over at the Simon Says Stamp blog, May created a Dylusions Valentine’s Card with Dylusions stencils and ink sprays. Want to know how? Of course you do, head on over to Simon Says Stamp to watch May’s video before making your own!

Done with Valentine’s Day and ready for Spring? Richele Christensen has just the thing with her Distress Paints Journey Tag. This tag features an embossed Metal Foil tag, Idea-ology metal embellishments, die cut words and, of course, the Distress Paints. So much fun! Head on over to her blog to get started!

Last, but certainly not least, Claudine Hellmuth has a great technique video over on her blog. In this video she shares her embossed metal foil stencil technique. By combining foil tape, stencils, and Claudine Hellmuth Studio Gesso, you can create a vintage, antique look for your next project!
