Creativation 2017 | Ranger Brand and Wendy Vecchi Recap

February 3rd, 2017

It’s the fifth and final day of our Ranger Recaps! We’ve had so much fun this past week sharing with you our experiences and photos from this year’s Creativation Show. We hope you have enjoyed following along with us as we recapped these show days. The fun isn’t over yet though, today we’re showing you more from the Ranger booth including new Ranger Brand products as well as new products form Wendy Vecchi!

Six new colors from Stickles™ and Liquid Pearls™ were just a few things that were new to the Ranger brand this year. Visitors loved looking at the new products, especially the Mini Archival Ink Kits which offer the same unique, fade resistant dye as the full size ink pads, but in a convenient mini ink pad.

Those who stopped by the booth on Saturday enjoyed learning more about Ranger’s new Opaque Crackle Texture Paste as they made their own Make It Take It projects with Debbie.

The last day of the show, people made their way to the booth to fill out their own color charts of our very popular Archival Inks.

Signature Designer Wendy Vecchi also had some new releases this year, including two Mini Archival Ink Kits, available in her signature designer color palette. She also expanded her brand with the addition of her own set of Wendy Vecchi Enamel Accents, which are the same great formula as the Ranger Enamel Accents, but now available in her signature colors as well.

Creativation 2017 | ICE Resin® & Vintaj® Recap

February 2nd, 2017

On to day four of our Ranger recaps! Today’s product recap will feature Susan Lenart Kazmer ICE Resin® and Vintaj®.

With so many uses of ICE Resin®, there were two separate workshops offered this year at Creativation, one focusing on jewelry techniques and the other on applying ICE Resin® into mixed media projects. The first workshop, ICE Resin® Transparent Illusions, Susan taught her students how to make resin paper to achieve translucent effects using ephemera, tissue, and more. Once the resin paper was made, students applied their paper into a mixed media journal.

Jewelry and mixed media pieces made the perfect accent pieces along the worn, wooden doors that made up the ICE Resin® display booth this year. The booth included colorful swatch charts of ICE Resin® Tints, German Glass Glitter and the new German Glass Glitter Shards, the Tissue Paper Assortment, and so much more. The displayed jewelry made such to give and inspirational touch just to show just how much could be created with this great product!

ICE Resin® Tissue Paper, the ICE Resin® Squeegee, and ICE Resin® German Glass Glitter were just a few of the products showcased in the Innovations display case.

For jewelry makers, or those who wanted to learn more about the process, there was an opportunity to learn more from the master metalsmith herself, Susan Lenart Kazmer. The second workshop offered was ICE Resin® Alchemy, where students learned how to use ICE Resin® Bezels, ICE Resin® Inclusions and more to design and create wearable works of art.

During the show, as visitors stopped by the booth, they were able to watch live demos to learn more about the newly released products and the many uses.

Watch Susan Lenart Kazmer introduce a few of her new products in the videos below:

Vintaj® also had a new release this year of 5 new colors, including 2 new metallic patina colors. The new release of colors included Malachite, Deep Turquoise, Pyrite, Rose Gold, and White Gold. The Ranger booth displayed these new colors as well as the entire palette and the Vintaj® product line. Final pieces were displayed to show the beauty of the patinas and how they work.

Creativation 2017 | Dina Wakley Media Recap

February 1st, 2017

It’s day three of our Ranger recaps and today we’re going to be sharing with you all the fun and excitement of the new products in the Dina Wakley Media line!

On the Friday night of our education day, we ended the day with Dina Wakley’s Mixed Media Mischief, where students were able to watch and learn how Dina applies her free spirit approach to color and composition when creating her mixed-media pieces. Her workshop students used her new products, including the Dina Wakley Media Scribble Sticks and the Dina Wakley Media Journal, to create personalized altered journal spreads.

The Ranger booth made sure to show many finished examples using both the Scribble Sticks and Media Journal. The booth included all the newest additions to the Dina Wakley Media line, including new stamps and stencils, Media Brushes and Media Tools, as well as your favorite Dina Wakley Media Acrylic Paints which are now available in 1 oz. bottles!

Dina’s Media Journal, Scribble Sticks, and 1 oz. Acrylic Paint bottles made their appearance in the Creativation Innovations showcase display as well!

The first day of the show, visitors of the Ranger booth were invited to play with the new Dina Wakley Media Scribble Sticks and color in Dina Wakley Media Board pins stamped with an image from her new Homage to Frida stamp set.

Applying the directly to surface or pulling pigment from the sticks themselves, there are so many ways to use Dina’s Scribble Sticks! Dina made sure to spend her time at her demo table teaching these uses and techniques, as well as explaining all the new products the Dina Wakley Media line has to offer.

Don’t forget about the Evolution of Distress Designer Challenge, Dina’s colorful artist abilities shined through using Distress Paints.

On the last day of the show, people made way to Dina’s demo table to fill out their color charts to bring home swatch samples of the Scribble Sticks.
