Ranger Blog: Contests and Giveaways
It’s definitely been busy here at Ranger the last few weeks. We have a few things to share with you today, including the contest winners for our April Seasonal Color Palette Contest!
First up, we’ve spent most of our days recently prepping for The Collins Show, which wrapped up yesterday, and Ranger U. How can you not be excited about class when you’re surrounded by piles of Ranger goodness?!? Take a look:
The weekend is finally here! Yay! To celebrate, it is time for yet another Guess This Ranger Product! Here you go:
Be sure to swing by our Facebook page tomorrow where we will post a hint, then come back on Monday to find out what it is!
Yesterday was officially the first day of spring! Yay! What’s a better way to ring in spring than with some fun craft projects. You all did just that! We had over 40 amazing entries into our March Seasonal Palette contest. Thank you to everyone that participated in this contest!
We did choose a few winners as promised, but 1st we want to share this Distress Sunflower Tag by Wendy Vecchi. In this spring themed tag, Wendy uses Distress Embossing Powders to add a rustic texture to this charming tag! Take a look at the project page for materials and instruction!
We have some exciting news this morning. The good folks over at Little Yellow Bicycle are doing a designer challenge for the next two weeks where each weekday they will post a new project that features products from their new Naturals collection and, of course, ink from Ranger!
They just posted the 1st project today and it is adorable. Jen Chesnick created this Stamped Onesie and Naturals Headband. She even tested out the durability of this project by running it through the wash and there was no bleeding or fading! WOW!
Head on over to Little Yellow Bicycle’s blog to see step out photos and instruction on how to make this cute project. They are also doing a ton of giveaways this week on their blog, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, so be sure to read up on how to get your entries in and check back throughout the next 2 weeks for more exciting project and to see if you’re a winner!
Yesterday we shared with you some great last minute holiday crafting ideas. Today we have one more for you by the incredibly talented Wendy Vecchi. This festive bag is the perfect way to package a gift for any special someone in your life. Along with this inspiring photo, Wendy also included a supply list so you can make one of your own! Here is everything you need to create this delightful gift bag:
Yesterday we showed you some great ways to wrap up your holiday gifts. Today, we have a technique from Claudine Hellmuth. In this tutorial, she shows everyone how to use her Creative Layers Foam Stamps with Claudine Hellmuth Studio Gesso to create a fun gift wrap out of either brown craft paper or just an old paper grocery bag!
After you’ve checked out Claudine’s Creative Layers Stamping Gift Wrap tutorial and Ranger’s Holiday Gift Decorating, we want to see what you can come up with. Below, you can submit a photo of your own holiday gift wrap. It can be wrapping paper, a gift bag, a gift box, or any other way you like to decorate your gifts – it just has to feature Ranger products and be made with love, by you!
You can submit photos of your gifts until Thursday, December 20th at noon eastern, then we will choose 1 lucky winner at random to receive a grab bag of Ranger products. (The photos in this post show you a little sneak peek at what’s in the prize pack!)
Well, it looks like everyone is very excited about the new colors that the Tim Holtz® Distress Stains™ are now available in. Tim Holtz sent us the picture above, and as you can see, he is already getting to work creating amazing tags that feature his new stains and stamps!
Apparently he wasn’t the only one that was immediately inspired! All of you, our faithful blog readers, sprung to action and submitted 75 gorgeous projects in just 3 days!!! WOW! There were so many amazing projects; we decided to choose 4 winners at random and they are…
Well, it has been 4 fun filled week of Festively Distressed with Dreamweaver Stencils. Take a look at the final week of projects the “Dream Team” came up with:
As promised, we have sets of 12 Tim Holtz® Distress Embossing Powders and some Dreamweaver Stencils to give away. The winners of the Festively Distressed contest are…
Charmain Stack and Sue McRae!
Thanks to everyone that participated and congratulations to the winners! We will be sending you an email shortly with information on how to claim your prize.
Today we wanted to take a moment to highlight a very cool technique created by Louise Healy that we saw done by the team over at Dreamweaver Stencils. By using Tim Holtz® Distress Embossing Powders with a fun stencil (like the ones by Dreamweaver!) on double sided mounting paper you can create this interesting effect.
We gave the “Dream Team” a bunch of Tim Holtz® Distress Embossing Powders to see just how versatile this technique can be. Check out the links below to see the various projects you can create using this technique.
It’s officially Friday and while that is usually joyful enough by itself, we decided to kick things up a notch by sharing some of our projects with you, as well as announce the winners from last week’s distress contest.
As you may know, every month Tim Holtz posts a new tag featuring a fun and exciting technique. Last month Tim showed everyone how to achieve a “cool industrial faux riveted metal look” and we came up with a plethora of our own projects that featured that great technique. This month Tim created a Halloween themed tag that featured some cool techniques inspired by a recent workshop he taught.
After seeing what he created, we just had to get to work! Check out what we came up with!
