At the Winter CHA show Vintaj’s Mackie Mullane demoed the new Patina colors. In this particular demo, she uses Garnet, Ruby, Topaz, and Marble Patinas and a reliefing block on a 38mm Open Pea Pod Vintaj Arte Metal to really bring the piece to life!
With CHA just around the corner, we thought it’s time to start sharing some of the things you can expect at the show. Today, Ranger is proud to announce all new Vintaj products that will be available in February 2013.
First, we are launching two new Patina color kits – Painted Barn and Faded Pickup. The painted barn kit includes new colors Garnet, Marble, and Earth, while the Faded Pickup kit includes Lapis, Emerald, and Topaz.
Are there one or two colors from one of the old kits that you wish you could get a little more of? Also starting in February, the entire collection of Patina colors will be available in open stock and Vintaj Glaze will also be available in a smaller .5 oz bottle, which is convenient for travel!
Finally, if your Craft Spinner feels a bit crowded, we will start offering a Craft Spinner Extension Kit this month that adds a second level to your existing Craft Spinner. This additional tier will allow your Craft Spinner to accommodate an additional 8 Ink Blending Tools!
You can head on over to our press page for more information on these new products or stop by our booth at CHA to check them out for yourself!
If you follow us on Facebook, you may have seen us share some very cool techniques posted by the Elizabeth Craft Designs page. A few weeks ago Els Van de Burgt posted some amazing Vintaj Patinas technique photos that we just had to know more about! We reached out to her and she generously spent some time taking photos and writing up how to achieve each one of these looks.
If you’re like us and can’t get enough of this beautiful work, be sure to “like” the Elizabeth Craft Designs Facebook page here to continue to see all of Els’ amazing work or post on her page to let her know what you think of these techniques! You can also check out the Elizabeth Craft Designs website to find any supplies you may need for your next project, like the Shimmer Sheetz used in these techniques.
You may remember back in May we shared a great Vintaj tutorial that showed you how to imprint letters and designs into Vintaj’s Altered Blanks and how to colorize them with Vintaj Patinas. The good people over at the Vintaj Natural Brass Company are back again, this time with a step-by-step tutorial on cutting and shaping metal blanks.
In this tutorial you’ll use a Vintaj Altered Blank, various Vintaj Patinas, and Vintaj Glaze to create a miniature license plate for a Summer Road Trip necklace. For more project ideas and techniques, be sure to check out Vintaj’s blog at www.vintaj.com/wpblog.
We’re back, with more great products that will be making their debut in the Ranger booth at CHA Summer 2012!
Vintaj Patinas made quite a splash when we debuted them at the Winter CHA show, so we are very excited to announce two new kits:
That’s right, Vintaj Patinas are now available in 4 metallic colors! In the Treasured Heirloom collection you’ll find Nouveau Silver and Victorian Gold, while in the Ancient Coin collection you’ll have Aged Bronze and Antique Copper. These opaque, metallic Patinas are specially formulated to adhere to metal findings and jewelry blanks. Mix and match them with the original 15 blendable Patinas colors to create a multitude of patina effects on jewelry and embellishments!
We are also happy to announce that the Claudine Hellmuth Studio Mini Acrylic Paints and Mini Art Mediums are now available open stock! Now you can purchase your favorite colors and mediums without needing to buy an entire set of five. The portable .5 oz bottles are ideal for sampling new colors of these highly pigmented paints, or for travel to classes and crops. You can apply the paints and mediums directly from the needle-nose applicator tip to create dots, squiggles and lines, or use a paintbrush for wider coverage.
For more information about the new Metallic Vintaj Patinas or open stock Studio Mini Paints and Mediums, be sure to check out their official press releases!
