Hurricane Sandy Update #2

Everyone here at Ranger would like to take a moment to extend our thoughts and support to everyone that was impacted by Hurricane Sandy. As residents of New Jersey ourselves, we personally understand the difficulties and frustrations associated with rebuilding your homes, businesses, and lives.

As you may know, we felt the effects at our NJ headquarters and are happy to report that things are beginning to return to normal. We have resumed production and have started shipping out product again. We hope that these efforts will assist storeowners in returning their business to normal as well. We are even ready to continue with some upcoming product releases we had scheduled, that we know you’ll be excited to hear about in the next week.

As we’ve been traveling our area getting everything back up and running, we came across this “display” and were happy to see that many of the local residents are maintaining their sense of humor during these trying times.

Like many people, you may be wondering how to help those who were less fortunate in this disaster. You can donate to the American Red Cross or check out http://www.charitynavigator.org/ to find various other charities that are accepting donations to assist the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Here at Ranger we found out that several of the local schools along the coast have suffered severe damage. In order to continue educating the children in New Jersey, several schools, such as Monmouth Beach School, have relocated students to other schools in the area. They have requested donations of hardback marble composition books, pencils, plastic pocket folders, and blue or black pens. We are collecting these goods at our local headquarters to deliver to schools in need. If you are in the area and would like to contribute any of these items, you can drop them off at our headquarters located at 15 Park Rd. Tinton Falls, NJ.

Thank you again for all of your support. We read every one of your messages on our blog and social media channels and were humbled by the outpouring of concern for our employees. We would like to once again wish you a safe and quick recovery from everyone here in the Ranger family.

  2. Thank you for the update. It’s good to hear that you are getting back to some sense of normality. Thanks for sharing the pumpkin picture too. It’s sometimes the things like that that keep everyone looking at the positives.

  4. Glad to know there is some small sense of normalcy returning. We have made a contribution to the American Red Cross. It’s not much, but it’s the least we can do after so much help was given to us here in Florida after the 5 hurricanes hit us in 2005.

  6. Thank you for this update. I heard some heartbreaking stories after Sandy. But I also heard some fabulous stories of people who simply started te help other people. Things are slowly returning to normal, but I think it will be long time before all the damage is repaired. hugs from holland, Linda
