We’re now into the final countdown – Christmas is almost here! While we all aspire to be the epitome of organization with our decorations hung, cards in the mail, and presents neatly wrapped under the tree, sometimes life gets in the way and you find yourself in need of some serious last minute inspiration. Don’t worry bloggers, Ranger is here to help!
We’ve been scouring the web for project ideas to help you avert any last minute holiday crafting crisis! Take a look at a few of the things we found:
First up we have this amazing Believe in Love Holiday Ornament from Wendy Vecchi right here on our own website. As Wendy herself has pointed out it is a ton of fun and makes a great hostess gift!
Over at Scrapbook Update, Tammy Dailor wrote a great tutorial on debossing and inking. She used a snowflake embossing folder and Distress Inks to create some wintery embellishments for her scrapbook page.
If you haven’t been checking out Tim Holtz’s blog, you’ve been missing out on some GREAT, and we mean GREAT, links. While this may be a bit ambitious to be a last minute project, we have to mention it. Linda Ledbetter took some Distress Markers to the Sizzix Halloween Shadows Trick-or-Treaters die and was able to transform it into this amazing group of Christmas carolers! WOW!
Over at The Gentleman Crafter, Jim created this amazing Joyful Jetting Santa with a variety of fun, Christmas papers, Dylusions Ink Sprays, and Adirondack Paint Dabbers. Jim says that this project “would be an awesome LARGE ornament or a Christmas decor piece. I think it would be great for any guy on your list too!” You can also check out this video he made for more information on this project.
This year over at Ellen Hutson, various artists have participated in their 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist. Ranger Signature Designer, Claudine Hellmuth, made this whimsical retro Christmas tag that would make a perfect gift accent!
Sometimes you need to make a Christmas gift that isn’t Christmas themed. If that’s the case, be sure to head on over to Vintaj’s Idea Gallery. It is chock full of creative jewelry, home décor, and paper crafting ideas! (And there are some Christmas themed items as well!)
Finally, don’t forget that the holidays are a great time to do a little crafting for yourself in your journal! Dyan has already made several pages. You can head on over to her blog here to see some of the things she has come up with before you start getting inky!
We hope some of these idea help you or inspired you for next year! Was there something we missed? Share links to some your favorite holiday projects below!
Also don’t forget, we are picking a winner tomorrow at noon eastern for our holiday gift decorating contest – that means there is still time to get your entries in!

Now that’s the kind of snow man I can relate to! Here in South Africa it is blazing hot right now!
Thanks for the shout out, guys! I had SO MUCH fun using the Distress Markers for the little carolers– they’ve become one of my absolute craft room essentials.
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, and that 2013 is your most successful and joyous year yet!
xo,
Linda
