Serendipity Squares:
(1) On a 12" x 12" sheet of plain white cardstock, use a foam brush to cover the entire surface with Mod Podge glue/sealer, working on the Craft Sheet to protect your work surface. Crumple up a 13"-square of white tissue paper and then smooth it out again. Lay the wrinkled tissue paper
atop the white cardstock and cover with a second coat of Mod Podge. Don’t be concerned if the tissue wrinkles or tears as this adds to the finished texture.
(2) Rub color from Nick Bantock™ Dye Ink Pads (Vermillion Lacquer, Damson Plum, Rose Madder) directly onto the Non-Stick Craft Sheet. Place the inks next to each other and not on top of one another. Spritz the inks with water using a Mini Mister and spread these diluted colors across the tissue-covered cardstock using a square of Cut n’ Dry Foam. When the entire surface has been colored to your liking, set the cardstock aside to dry completely.
(3) When the colored, tissue-covered cardstock has dried, randomly stamp the varied heart stamps over the surface using Rose Madder, Vermillion Lacquer and Damson Plum inks. Heat set the inks with the Craft Tool.
(4) Randomly stamp the varied flourish stamps over the surface using Lamp Black ink. Heat set the inks with the Craft Tool.
(5) Use a square of Cut n’ Dry Foam to randomly dab on Clear Embossing Ink to the stamped cardstock. Sprinkle on Enchanted Gold Embossing Powder to these areas, shake off the excess and place back in jar. Emboss with the Craft Tool.
(6) Use a paper trimmer to cut a total of fourteen squares measuring 1¾". Cut two 9¼" x 3/8" strips as well. Use a small square of Cut n’ Dry Foam to ink all the edges with Vermillion Lacquer ink.
Assembling the Scrapbook Page:
(7) Trim peach cardstock to a 9½" x 10" rectangle. Adhere a 4" x 5½" photograph to the center of the peach cardstock.
(8) Arrange the fourteen serendipity squares in a frame around the photograph and adhere. Add the two serendipity strips above and below the framed image.
(9) Use Peach Bellini Acrylic Paint Dabber to paint the chipboard letters, photo corners and bookplate. Allow the paint to dry and then use a small square of Cut n’ Dry Foam to add touches of Rose Madder ink to the painted shapes and letters. Glue a small rectangle of peach cardstock behind the painted bookplate and attach with small gold brads beneath the photograph. Add journaling with a black pen. Adhere the painted title letters above the photograph using Glossy Accents.
(10) Use a small square of Cut n’ Dry Foam to ink the edges of the peach cardstock with Vermillion Lacquer ink.
(11) Adhere a 10" length of vintage eyelet trim to the bottom of the peach cardstock.
(12) Trim red cardstock to a 10½" square. Center the layout onto the red cardstock and adhere with strong double-sided tape to complete the page.
