When it comes to Distress Stains, the combinations are just limitless. Today we wanted to share this amazing technique by Tammy Tutterow. Tammy was able to create this great tag by using Distress Stains to create a fun woodgrain background.
What really makes this technique perfect is that it creates an interesting background that is still subtle enough as to not steal the show from the main subject of the tag. Head on over to Tammy’s blog see step-by-step instructions along with a video on how to duplicate the woodgrain look!
Tammy also used this technique again on her “Wood You Be Mine: Masculine Valentine Card,” proving how versatile it can be!

Great tag! You don’t see many backgrounds that look like a birch bark (usually it’s some other brownish woodgrain look).
