It would be so fun to just grab a journal and dive into the fun stuff of adding stamped images and collage! To not have to wait for the paint and sprays to dry. With the Creative Jumpstart Journal you can do just that. This journal already has some fabulously created backgrounds! All you have to do is pick a page and play!
Step 1: Find this page (or another) in the Dylusions Jumpstart Journal.
Step 2: From the Dylusions stamp set Stripy Curlicues, stamp 3 of the fiddlehead looking images and 1 flower shown in the middle of the stamp set.
From the Dylusions stamp set Foilage Fillers, stamp 3 eyes in total.
From the Dylusions stamp set Pandemic, choose and stamp a head.
Cut out all the stamped images.
Step 3: Find these Dylusions collage images from sets 1 (hand with partial face) and 2 (the jacket).
Step 4: Place your collage and stamped images as shown above. Grab a piece of white paper to sketch a big skirt. Cut the skirt out to use as a template.
Step 5: Using the template created in Step 4, trace it onto the journal page. Paint the skirt using Dylusions Shimmers Paints in Tangerine Dream and Funky Fuchsia.
Step 6: To add more interest to the background, color in the border using white and black paint pens. Splatter Shimmer Sprays in Pink Flamingo and Tangerine Dream onto the page.
Before adding the quote to the skirt, take note of where the jacket will be placed, as to not cover the writing.
The template can also be used to practice writing out the quote before adding it to the journal page.
Step 7: Glue down the rest of the stamped images to the page.
Now's the time to paint some of the stamped images using Dylusions Shimmer Paints. This will make them pop a little more! The paint colors used on this page are Cut Grass, Tangerine Dream and Funky Fuchsia. When the paint has dried trace around the stamped and collage images with the black paint pen. Adding some white markings with the white paint pen will also help in highlighting areas you wish to enhance!
There you have it. It's so quick and easy to make a fun page when the work of the background has already been done for you.
