Thursday, February 6, 2020
Instructor: Susan Lenart Kazmer
In this straightforward beginner’s workshop, you will learn interesting techniques to make a colorful and layered bangle bracelet using ICE Resin. Start by using a precast mold to build layers and pour into; build a dirty mold to create an ancient-looking object or a clean mold to achieve a glass-like appearance. Learn to pour resin properly and safely in a pre-made rubber mold and add inclusions such as ICE Resin Tints, objects, dried floral, Perfect Pearls Mica Powders and more.
Finally, build a finished bracelet from an already cast resin component and learn interesting tips for altering your piece such as rubbing, engraving, color application and sgraffito to create a remarkable and finished bangle bracelet. Take another one home with you to unmold when cured.
Kit fee* $25.00- includes rubber silicone mold, finished resin cast bangle bracelet, bezel, expendables such as ICE Resin to use in class, ICE Resin Shattered Mica, Perfect Pearls Mica Powders, ICE Resin Iced Enamels, solder, wire and sandpaper.
Tools provided - small objects such as photos, inclusions such as text, leaves, sticks, herbs, sand, and dried flowers.
Bring anything meaningful or something you would like to include.
