Things have begun to settle back down here at Ranger Industries now that everyone has returned home from the 2019 Creativation Show in Phoenix, Arizona. Everyone really enjoyed getting to see their crafty friends, meet new friends, learn all about the newly releases products, and spend time learning and educating themselves on all the fun new products. It’s always so rewarding to see the hard work through out the year pay off at this big event!
Many of us here at Ranger flew in early to start getting the booth ready for the show days. A lot of hard work and planning went into getting the booth figured out and ready to ship. It was especially exciting this year because Ranger Industries was celebrating our 90th Anniversary!
The Designer Challenge this year was “Pouring Over It”. Dina Wakley has been a Ranger Signature Designer since 2014 and champions a line of mixed media craft products under the Dina Wakley MEdia brand. Her colorful and abstract style focuses on white space, organic shapes, and loose expressive marks. The focus for the challenge was to highlight various Dina Wakley Media products, particularly the new Pouring Medium and Cell Creator. We loved seeing what the participants of the challenge came up with! Be sure to check out our blog next week for more on these beautiful pieces!
With so many new products, that meant a lot of new education! All of day two was spent with Ranger’s Signature Designers teaching classes showing all their wonderful new products. Tim Holtz, Dyan Reaveley, Wendy Vecchi and Dina Wakley all taught classes on their newest line additions
Susan Lenart Kazmer and Debbie Tlach taught a jewelry class that incorportated both ICE Resin® products as well as Ranger’s newest mixed media and jewelry product, QuickCure Clay.
Sharen AK Harris also spent time Sunday night teaching an Alcohol Ink Paint & Sip class where attendees could enjoy a drink while learning how to paint with Tim Holtz® Alcohol Inks.
If show attendees couldn’t make it to the classes, there was plenty of time to stop at the Ranger booth and see the designer’s themselves demonstrating their new products.
Ranger’s newest Signature Designer, Simon Hurley made his debut demonstrating his new line, Simon Hurley create.
Sharen also spent some time at demo tables showcasing the newest products to the Tim Holtz® Alcohol Ink line, including Alcohol Pearls and new surfaces. Ranger’s Graphic Designer, Taylor Huizenga, showed attendees the newest additions to the Letter It™ line!
In the Ranger Mixed Media Jewelry booth, Jamie Dougherty showed how to use Ranger’s new QuickCure Clay, and Misty Grosse spent time working on new jewelry pieces using ICE Resin® products.
And who doesn’t love getting their own project to take home? Well of course, everyone does! That’s what made the Ranger Make It Take Its such a great experience. Visitors we’re greeted by Ranger’s own Kathy Paglia and Debbie Tlach who had different projects on each day using Ranger’s newest products including Letter It™ Stamps, Tim Holtz® Alcohol Pearls, Embossing Powders, and more!
There was a lot to see in the Ranger booth! All the new products were nicely displayed on grids while bright color swatches and samples decorated the booth for visitors to see!
It’s always such a wonderful experience being at the show, and here at Ranger, we love coming back an getting to share some of those highlights with you! We hope you enjoyed our show recap, and hope you’re all just excited about the new products as we are!
