Hi there! It’s Cheiron Brandon and I am back with another fun tutorial using Tim Holtz Distress products. This month I am creating a fun easter card with the Mr. Rabbit stamp set from Stampers Anonymous using tone on tone stamping and Distress Watercolor Pencils.
Step 1: Gather your supplies. I am using Distress Watercolor Pencils, Frayed Burlap Distress Ink, Mr. Rabbit stamps, a waterbrush, Distress Watercolor Cardstock, and Kraft Heavystock.
Step 2: Stamp the background images from the Mr. Rabbit stamp set onto a panel of Distress Kraft Heavystock using Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide.
Step 3: Continue stamping until you fill the panel with images. This will be your tone on tone background.
Step 4: Distress the edges of your paper with a paper distresser.
Step 5: Using Black Soot Distress Archival Ink, stamp Mr. Rabbit twice onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock (we will be cutting him out).
Step 6: Color in Mr. Rabbit using Distress Watercolor Pencils and blend out the color with a water brush. Don’t forget the pink cheeks!
Step 7: I used Distress Watercolor Pencils in Speckled Egg, Worn Lipstick, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers and Tea Dye.
Step 8: Cut one of the Mr. Rabbit out of the first panel ( I left some white space) and then also cut out his sides of his jacket and bow tie.
Step 9: Adhere the full Mr. Rabbit to your Kraft panel using foam tape.
Step 10: Adhere the bow tie and suit pieces to the full Mr. Rabbit using foam tape.
Step 11: Stamp the “easter time” sentiment from the Note Quotes stamp set using Black Soot Archival Ink.
Step 12: Adhere the panel to green cardstock and using foam tape.
I hope you enjoyed creating this cute Mr. Rabbit Card with me!
