“Perfectly” Double Stamped Backgrounds

“Perfectly” Double Stamped Backgrounds

Use Distress Inks and Perfect Pearls Mists to create a background that’s twice as nice.

By Wendy Vecchi

•Use the Blending Tool to ink the tag with Faded Jeans, Brushed Corduroy and Rusty Hinge Distress Inks. Cover the entire tag.
•Use Black Soot on the Blending Tool to distress the tag edges.

•Spray the Perfect Pearls Mist onto the Craft Sheet and press the grid background into the mist (press just once).
•Stamp onto the bottom portion of the tag and repeat over the top of the tag, to add a pattern over the whole tag, then dry. You’ll see that the bling from the Perfect Pearls is only where you stamped.

•Mist water onto the Craft Sheet, then press the polka dot background stamp into the water, just once.  Stamp the bottom of the tag and repeat over the top portion of the tag.  Allow the water to sit about 10 seconds, to lighten the Distress Ink, then dry. You’ll see that the water stamping has created a polka dot pattern over the tag.

This technique creates a “perfectly” double stamped background when stamping with Perfect Pearls, water and 2 background stamps.

To Finish:
•Use the Gold Metallic Dabber to edge the tag and dry.
•Use a waterproof pen to doodle an irregular line around the outside edge of the tag.
•Use Walnut Stain to stamp the post mark at the top of the tag, as shown.
•Use Jet Black Archival to stamp the saying in the lower left corner of the tag.
•Ink the art parts flourishes with peeled stain and dry. Add shading to the edges with Forest Moss, on the Blending Tool.
•Stamp the text over the flourishes, using Jet Black Archival.
•Ink the two art parts flowers with Rusty Hinge Stain and dry. Add distressing to the petal edges with Walnut Stain on the Blending Tool.
•Stamp over both flowers using Jet Black on the polka dot background stamp.
•Use Multi-Medium to glue the flower layers together.
•Glue the Blossom Bucket silver antiqued button into the large Blossom Bucket bottle cap, then glue to the center of the flower.
•Glue the flourishes to the tag using Multi-Medium, then glue the flower over the flourishes.
•Like the saying says…always be confident as you pursue your dreams!
