Stickles™ Dry Fine Glitter Tips and Techniques

You can apply Stickles™ Dry Fine Glitter to your artwork in a variety of ways. Here are just a few to spark-le your creativity.

Use with Sticky Embossing Powder and Clear Emboss it™ Dabber

 

September 2012 Sticky Embossing Powder Step 1Step 1: Working on the Non-Stick Craft Sheet, place item to be glittered on a piece of scrap paper. Ink a stamp using the Clear Emboss It Dabber.

September 2012 Sticky Embossing Powder Step 2Step 2: Stamp the image over the entire tag, reinking the stamp with the dabber after each impression. Sprinkle the Sticky Embossing Powder over the tag. Remove the excess powder onto the piece of scrap paper and return it into the jar.

September 2012 Sticky Embossing Powder Step 3 Step 3: Heat Sticky Embossing Powder until melted.

Step 4: Immediately place tag on a piece of scrap paper and sprinkle Stickles Glitter over the melted Sticky Embossing Powder while it is still warm for best adhesion.

Step 5: Remove the excess glitter onto the scrap paper and return it into the jar. (If there is extra glitter remaining on the tag, simply brush away with a small paint brush). Heat set the glitter to adhere to embossing powder, being careful not to overheat.

Use With Inkssentials™ Wonder Tape

 

September 2012 Inkssentials™ Wonder Tape Step 1
Step 1: Apply a Wonder Tape Sheet to a piece of Grungeboard. Die cut your desired shape and peel off the red liner to reveal the adhesive.

Step 2: Place the die cut on a piece of scrap paper and sprinkle glitter onto the entire shape.

Step 3: Remove the excess glitter onto the scrap paper and return it into the jar

Step 4: Place a piece of scrap paper over the glittered die cut and roll an Inkssentials™ Inky Roller over the entire piece several times to help the glitter adhere to the Wonder Tape.

Apply Glitter to Embellishments Using Claudine Hellmuth Studio Matte Multi-Medium

 

September 2012 Multi-Medium Step 1Step 1: Brush the embellishment with Claudine Hellmuth Studio Matte Multi-Medium.

September 2012 Multi-Medium Step 2Step 2: Dip the embellishment into Stickles Glitter.

September 2012 Multi-Medium Step 3Step 3: Remove the excess, let it dry and you are ready to use it on your project. (Note: This technique can be done with any wet adhesive; such as, Inkssentials™ Glossy Accents or Inkssentials™ Glue ‘N Seal)

Here is a finished project using both Wonder Tape and Multi-Medium.
