Hello there crafty friends, it’s Cheiron Brandon here and I can’t wait to share a super easy holiday card making idea with you today. If you love Alcohol Inks like me, I am sure you love to play and create tons of different Alcohol Ink backgrounds. I’m always experimenting with different color combos, mixing Alcohol Inks and Alcohol Pearls and adding in Alcohol Ink Mixatives.

Today, I am going to show you how you can make a stash of quick and easy (yet still elegant) cards using Alcohol Inks, Alcohol Pearls, and Silver and Gold Alcohol Ink Mixatives combined with one of my favorite Tim Holtz stamp sets, Mini Doodle Greetings. This set is perfect to add to any mixed media background for a holiday card.

Step 1: The first thing I do is gather all of my supplies including my Alcohol Inks, Pearls and Mixatives along with my YUPO® paper. I have also gathered up some embossing powders, because I know I will want to emboss some of the sentiments. When I create holiday cards, I love to try out different color combos and I will share them all with you today. These cards are very non-traditional in color scheme, but they make a beautiful work of art you can send in the mail.

Step 2: For the first color combo, I dropped Alcohol Inks in Pool, Patina and Limeaid onto my YUPO paper along with some Blending Solution. When I was creating these papers, I had so much fun I decided to make three of each, which is a super easy way to build your stash in one creative session.

Step 3: When the panels were dry, I stamped one of the greetings in Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide. I mounted the panel to a piece of Metallic Kraftstock and mounted it to the card.

Step 4: For the second combo, I always love a rainbow Christmas card and I thought it would be perfect paired with the Merry and Bright sentiment in the stamp set. For these cards I dropped Alcohol Inks in all the colors of the rainbow: Flamingo, Valencia, Sunshine, Citrus, Aqua, and Purple Twilight. 

Step 5:  When the panels were dry, I stamped the greeting in Jet Black Archival Ink and colored in the leaves with some Twisted Citron Distress Oxide and then used Enamel Accents to create the berries using a stylus to dip into the Enamel Accents and then onto the dots on the stamped image (a trick I learned from Wendy Vecchi). I mounted the panel to Black Metallic Cardstock. 

Step 6: For the third set of cards, I used Alcohol Inks in Shell Pink, Pink Sherbet and Raspberry along with Alcohol Pearls in Smolder and Enchanted. The Alcohol Pearls add a whole new layer and different type of color to the panels.

Step 7: I stamped and embossed the sentiment in Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder and it is a perfect complement to the Smolder Alcohol Pearls.

Step 8: For the last combo, I wanted something really elegant so I mixed together some red, blue, dark purples and gold. I used Gold Metallic Mixatives, Red Pepper, Denim and Amethyst Alcohol Inks and Deception Alcohol Pearls.

Step 9: To put this final set of cards together, I embossed the sentiment in Gold and added a mat of Gold Metallic Kraftstock.
