Step 1: Start by spritzing a couple of strips of Distress Watercolor Cardstock with water using a Distress Sprayer. This will help the color wick after spraying the Distress Oxide Spray.

Step 2: Shake the Distress Oxide Spray vigorously to mix color well before each use. Then spritz color onto wet Distress Watercolor Cardstock strip, leaving a little white space at the end. I used Mermaid Lagoon on the first strip and Fossilized Amber on the second strip.

Step 3: Dry well with Heat Tool. To add a little more distress, unscrew lid and flick Distress Oxide Spray color droplets onto strip and dry again with Heat Tool. Depending on your color palette choice it will look something like this.

Step 4: Die cut hearts out of colorized strips using Tim Holtz Sizzix Valentine Sidekick Side-Order dies.

Step 5: Cut a 1 3/4 x 4 inch strip of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Working on the smooth side of cardstock, swipe the Ranger Anti-Static Pouch over the entire surface. This helps prepare for a static free heat embossing. Ink the “Oh Baby” Letter It Clear Stamp using the Letter It Clear Embossing Ink Pad. Repeat stamping process until complete surface is covered with phrase.

Step 6: Place stamped image on a scrap piece of paper. Generously sprinkle Ranger Letter It Gunmetal Embossing Powder over the stamped image. Shake off excess Embossing Powder and return to jar.

Step 7: Heat stamped image with Heat Tool to melt embossing powder.

Step 8: Die cut a 2-inch circle with the Sizzix Stitched Circle die using Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Repeat stamping/embossing using the “Congrats” stamp from same stamp set.

Step 9: Now add color to the embossed strip panel using Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber Distress Inks with Blending Tool with Foam. Start with lightest ink shade swirling on color and work your way to darkest, leaving a little white space at the top.

Step 10: Shake the Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Spray vigorously to mix color well. Unscrew lid and flick Distress Oxide Spray color droplets onto a 4 x 5 1/4 sheet of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Then dry with Heat Tool.

Step 11: Assemble card components onto an A2 kraft card base using Distress Collage Medium and Letter It White Foam Tape.
