Instructions
Step 1: Gather your supplies! Choose your favorite Gloss colors and some tags of various sizes. I chose 3 warm colors (Magenta, Lemon, & Tangelo) and 3 cool colors (Sage, Turquoise, & Lapis) plus white.
Step 2: Spray or splatter Glosses on the tags. Let the colors run together to make interesting patterns and texture.
Step 3: Before the tags dry, gently lay a stencil overtop of them and spray with White gloss. This will add the stencil pattern in a more subtle way as the gloss mixes. Let the tags dry.
Step 4: Using botanical stamps and some like colors, build layers on your tags by adding some stamping to the tag backgrounds. Here, Dylusions Archival Inks were used.
Step 5: Next, stamp some botanical images onto white copy paper or cardstock, then fussy-cut them.
Step 6: Using similar colors as the tags, add some stenciling to pieces of typed ledger paper. We’ll use this to build our tag focal points.
Step 7: Layer the fussy-cut botanical stamped images, images from transparencies, and the stenciled papers together to create focal points. Use Heavy Matte Gel Medium to adhere to the tags, or staple with a stapler. Add some phrases as well.
Step 8: Splatter the tags with Gloss to finish them off!
