Distress Back From The Vault Love You Card by Cheiron Brandon

Show Mom some love with this gorgeous card! Follow along as Cheiron Brandon uses Tim Holtz Distress Back From The Vault Paints and floral stamps to craft a lovely card just in time for Mother's Day.

Instructions

Hi there crafty friends! It’s Cheiron Brandon here and I am back with a new project to share with you that is perfect for Mother’s Day! This card features the newest Back from the Vault Distress Paint colors to create a floral image that is stamped with a stamped positioner, painted over and then stamped again to keep those crisp lines. Then we will add a few techniques to give it just a bit of grunge.

Step 1: Gather your supplies, you will need Distress Paints in Wilted Violet, Crushed Olive, Lucky Clover, Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold, Wild Honey, and Black Soot. You will also need Distress Archival Ink in Black Soot, Distress Watercolor Cardstock, a Distress Sprayer, Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and Ranger Artist Brushes. For stamping I used the Tim Holtz Floral Trims and Note Quotes stamp.

Step 2: Begin by painting 2 pieces of Distress Watercolor Cardstock with Tattered Rose Distress Paint and let dry or dry with a heat tool. I am not blending with water here, because I want the flat, matte look of the paint for my background. (Cardstock sizes 3 3/4 x 7 and 4 x 5 1/4).

Step 3: Using a stamp positioner, line up your taller painted panel and stamp the floral image using Black Soot Distress Archival Ink. Be sure to line it up well, because we will be replacing this panel later and stamping over it.
