Hi there! It’s Cheiron Brandon and I am back with another fun tutorial using Tim Holtz Distress products. I am so happy to have new colors Distress Embossing Glazes to play with and love the newest colors for fall and winter.
Step 1: Stamp words from Stripes and Holiday background set onto a panel of Distress Watercolor Cardstock using Distress Archival Ink in Hickory Smoke. Let dry or dry with heat tool.
Step 2: Using a foam blending tool, ink the panel with Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac, and Evergreen Bough.
Step 3: Stamp the sentiment from the Bold Tidings set using Distress Archival Ink in Black Soot. Let dry or dry with a heat tool.
Step 4: Go over your panel with an anti-static pouch.
Step 5: Begin by stamping your panel using the Retro Flakes stamps with embossing ink. Emboss with Tumbled Glass Distress Embossing Glaze. This will give you a very transparent look.
Step 6: Stamp the snowflakes using Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass, then emboss with Tumbled Glass Distress Embossing Glaze.
Step 7: Repeat step 6 with different snowflakes, stamping and embossing with Shaded Lilac, then with Evergreen Bough.
Step 8: Add some Distress Sparkle Texture Paste using a palette knife. Let dry.
Step 9: Add some splatter using Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain. Let dry or dry with heat tool.
Step 10: Mask off your sentiment and add Distress Spritz in Hickory Smoke. Let dry or dry with a heat tool.
I love all the layers of texture and shine that you get in this card. I hope you enjoyed learning how to make it and will try it out for yourself! Happy Holidays!
