Distress Spritz Tag Card by Cheiron Brandon

Wondering how to use your finished tags? Turn them into cards! Follow along as Cheiron Brandon creates a beautifully layered tag card and adds a pop of color and shimmer with Distress Spritz for a mesmerizing result.

Instructions

Hello there crafty friends! It’s Cheiron Brandon here to share a card I have created with one of the newest products in the Distress line…Distress Spritz! If you have not seen or heard of this before, you are going to want to try it out. This new spray adds colorful shimmer to your favorite Distress products and will work over all of them (except the Distress Crayons, which will resist it). This new Spritz is meant to go over color and that is what we will do today by using them over a fun Distress Ink Background with a contrasting color of Spritz through the stencil.

Gather your supplies for your card panel. You will need Distress Watercolor cardstock cut into a tag shape. You will also need Distress Inks and Distress Spritz to create your background.

Step 1: Use a tag die to cut a tag from Distress Watercolor Cardstock.

Step 2: Add Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks to a non-stick craft sheet and spray with a Distress Sprayer.

Step 3: Dip the tag into the inks and dry with a heat tool, dip again another 2-3 times drying with the heat tool each time.

Step 4: Inside of a splat box, place the Deco Floral stencil over the inked tag and add Spiced Marmalade Distress Spritz.

Step 5: Dry the tag with a heat tool until completely dry – look at that shine!

Step 6: Stamp the floral stamp from the French Garden stamp set and the sentiment from Floristry using Black Soot Archival Distress Ink.

Step 7: Ink the edges of your tag with the Black Soot Archival Distress Ink and a tiny foam blending tool.

Step 8: Stamp some of the background images randomly onto the tag with Wild Honey Distress Archival Ink.

Step 9: Add some more stamped background images randomly onto the tag with Evergreen Bough Distress Archival Ink.

Step 10: Add some Peacock Feathers Distress Spritz to the craft sheet and use it to splatter the Spritz onto your card for even more sparkle. Note: cover the sentiment with a mask or piece of scrap cardstock so you don’t get splatter on your sentiment.

Step 11: Dry the spatter completely with a heat tool.

Step 12: Add some ribbon through the top of the tag and adhere to a card base.

I hope you had fun creating this card with me today! I love how these Spritz look over inky backgrounds, especially when they pop to create a fun color contrast and they are perfect for splattering too!
