Distress Sunflower Tag

Distress Embossing Powders add a rustic texture to this charming tag.

1. Apply Faded Jeans & Mustard Seed Distress Stains to the Craft Sheet. Mist the #8 Manila Tag lightly with water, then use the Wrinkle Free Distress technique to create the background as follows: Pick up the inks, dry, pick up more ink & dry.

2. Lay the 3 Fresh Flowers Stencil on the right side of the tag & hold securely in place. Swipe the slightly moist Clear Emboss It Dabber over the flower area only. Remove the stencil, then sprinkle Mustard Seed Distress Embossing Powder over the flower. Return the excess back to the jar & then melt the embossing powder with the Craft Tool.

3. Position the stencil back over the flower, then use the slightly moist Emboss It Dabber over the stem and leaves. Remove the stencil & sprinkle Peeled Paint Distress Embossing Powder over the stem & leaves. Return excess powder back to the jar & heat the stem/leaves to emboss.

4. Reposition the stencil. Ink the numbers background with Jet Black Archival & lightly stamp over just the flowers.

5. Use the Antique Linen Distress Marker to trace around the petals, stem & leaves. This creates a shadow and adds depth to the tag.

6. Use Jet Black on the saying stamp & stamp in the lower left corner of the tag.

7. Ink the honeycomb background with French Ultramarine Archival & randomly stamp over the tag in several areas.

8. Ink the photo artist stamp with Jet Black & stamp portions of it in 3 areas.

9. Use Forest Moss on the blending tool to add shading to the tag edges.

10. Use the waterproof pen to trace around the flower & to add doodling to the tag edges.

11. Use Faded Jeans Distress Ink on the Blending Tool to add a polka dot border to the tag top & bottom. Apply the ink thru the stencil.

12. Swipe Monarch Orange Archival over the Blossom Bucket flower center raised areas & dry.

13. Glue the crow and flower center to the tag, using Multi- Medium.

Helpful Hints

1. Make sure the Dabber isn’t too wet. You don’t want the embossing fluid to seep under the stencil.

2. You can hold the stencil in place…or a Post-It works well too.

3. You can create a multicolored flower by sprinkling several colors of Distress Embossing Powder over the flower, instead of just one.
