Brighten your day with this super cute lemon card! In this tutorial, Kimberly Boliver uses Embossing Powder on top of Ranger Texture Paste to create a more defined look. It's the perfect card for summer!

Instructions

I love embossing over texture paste. It gives a more pronounced embossed image and is an easy way to emboss stenciled images. This Ranger Lime Tinsel Embossing Powder really brightens this fun summer card filled with juicy lemons!

Step 1: Ink blend Sun Dazed Archival Ink through the Simon Hurley create. Polka Dot Assortment Stencil on a piece of Tim Holtz White Heavystock cut to 4 1/8”x5 3/8”.

Step 2: Spread Ranger Opaque Matte Texture Paste over the Simon Hurley Grand Greenery stencil on the same panel. Remove the stencil carefully.

Step 3: Promptly pour Lime Tinsel Embossing Powder over the texture paste while it is wet. Set it to the side and let it dry. Once everything is dry, heat emboss the powder carefully, so the paste does not overheat.

Step 4: Rub the Anti-Static tool over a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor cardstock and stamp the Simon Hurley create. Sketched Citrus Background Stamp using Emboss it Clear Ink. Pour Ranger Black Embossing Powder over the stamped image and heat it with a heat tool.

Step 5: Use the matching dies for the Simon Hurley create. Sketched Citrus to die cut two lemons, two leaves, and three little flowers.

Step 6: Ink smoosh Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold and Twisted Citron on the Non-Stick Craft Sheet. Using a wet Ranger Angled Brush water color the images with the ink.

Step 7: Stamp the sentiment “You make me smile” from Simon Hurley create. Watercolor Flowers using Granite Archival Ink on Tim Holtz White Heavystock. Cut the sentiment to separate the words using a paper trimmer.

Step 8: Adhere the stenciled panel to a piece of Tim Holtz Black Heavystock cut to 4 ¼” to 5 ½”. Cut black Heavystock to mat the sentiment and adhere the stamped images to the stenciled panel.

Step 9: Adhere the card panel to a card base cut from Simon Hurley create. Stark White Cardstock 5 ½” x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. Trim the overhang from the stamped images and adhere the sentiment using Letter It foam tape.
