Instructions
Hi crafty friends! I hope you are having an amazing day and that you are able to do some fun crafting. Today I have a very easy to make card that uses stamps from Simon Hurley’s latest release. This card was a lot of fun to create! I hope you enjoy this card tutorial as much as I enjoyed making the card featured in it.
Step 1: Begin by creating an A2 card base out of Stark White cardstock by trimming the 8½” x 11” cardstock at 5½”, then score at 4¼”. For the front panel piece, trim another piece of cardstock measuring 4” x 5¼.”
Step 2: On the front panel piece, use one of the Paint Swatches stamps and rub the ink pad on the stamp using Remember Me, Triple Berry, and Shooting Star. Once you’re done, use the Mini Ink Blending tool to remove any harsh lines from the ink pads. Then use the Distress Sprayer to spray some water on the stamp before stamping the image on the front panel piece.
Step 3: Once the front panel piece is dry, stamp one of the floral images from the Framed Florals stamp set with Jet Black Archival Ink. Then use Clear Embossing Powder to heat emboss the stamped image.
Step 4: Use one of the Ranger Ink Artist Brushes to splatter some black acrylic ink onto the background.
Step 5: Trim another front panel piece out of Tim Holtz Distress Black Woodgrain Cardstock. Then glue it to the card base.
Step 6: Glue the front panel with the stamped image to the card base.
Step 7: Use the back of a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Black Woodgrain Cardstock to heat emboss one of the sentiments from the Framed Florals with white embossing powder. Then trim the piece to fit perfectly onto the card. Next, add foam adhesive to the sentiment and tape it to the card.
Step 8: To finish the card, add some Stickles to the background and pair the card to a colorful envelope. Now it’s ready to be sent to a loved one!
