Instructions
Step 1: Distress Oxide Ink Pads aren’t just for ink blending! You can use the ink pad itself to add color to your projects. For this background, select a few Halloween themed colors you love and swipe each pad across a piece of Simon Hurley create. Stark White Cardstock. You can change up the order of the colors and overlap them to get different looks.
Step 2: Next, open the lid of the Dylusions Ink Spray in Black Marble and hold it over your inked background. Tap the nozzle and droplets will fall onto your project. Repeat this until you are happy with the amount of splatter on your background.
Step 3: Stamp out the three zombie images from the Tim Holtz® Stampers Anonymous set ‘Zombies’ on Stark White Cardstock. Color them with whichever medium you like best (I chose alcohol markers) and then fussy cut them.
Step 4: On a piece of black cardstock, stamp the sentiment ‘Zombies eat brains. Don’t worry you’re safe' with Letter It™ Embossing Ink. Be sure to treat the surface with the Anti-Static Pouch to ensure that no stray embossing powder is left behind. Then, pour on White Embossing Powder. Tap away any excess powder and then melt with a Heat it Craft Tool.
Step 5: Adhere the black cardstock to your inked background, then adhere the zombie images with Multi Medium Matte and the Fine Tip Applicator. You can also add other embellishments now if you’d like; I chose to add tangles of bright green thread under each of the zombie heads to help tie everything together.
Step 6: Mount your card front to a white A2 sized card base made from Simon Hurley create. Stark White Cardstock. Your card is finished and ready to send for a snarky Halloween surprise!
