My favorite thing about art and painting is watching the colors swirl together and mix. Using the new Dina Wakley MEdia Glosses is an easy way to make a mess, watch colors swirl, and have a little abstract fun!
Step 1: Gather various colors of Glosses and two pieces of Heavyweight Watercolor paper.
Step 2: Make a mess! Using the droppers, spread some Gloss around the watercolor paper. Try to stick with colors from the same family (warm vs cool) on each sheet so that they will not mix and make mud. Spray with water and watch the colors spread and swirl around. While it’s still wet, scribble with a Scribble Stick or Stabilo All pencil.
Step 3: Using a paper cutter, cut the paper into various sizes of squares and rectangles.
Step 4: Arrange them in the Kraft journal, leaving some space between each square to act as a border. Attach with a stapler or Heavy Matte Gel Medium.
Step 5: Use some collage tissue and transparencies to add imagery and marks to the pages. Attach with Heavy Matte Gel Medium.
Step 6: Add splatters with Glosses.
One of the best parts about this project is not worrying about the outcome. By cutting up the sheets, you don’t have to think about having a finished project - you can just pick your favorite spots to use!
