Instructions

Step 1: Use the Stamp Platform to stamp the Vintage Mesh Background onto the black card using Picket Fence Distress Ink. You may need to re-stamp the image a couple of times to ensure a perfect result.

Step 2: Take a tip from Wendy Vecchi and cut up the Lots of Leaves Background stamp as shown. Take the two single strips of leaves and apply them onto an acrylic stamping block, bending them to shape.

Step 3: Place the sentiment from the Artful Thoughts set onto the bottom left corner of the black card. Use the Emboss It Dabber to apply embossing ink to the leaves stamps and repeat stamp around the sentiment.

Step 4: Remove the sentiment stamp before covering the leaves in Leaf Green embossing powder. Use a fine paint brush to remove any unwanted powder before heat setting with the Heat It Craft Tool.

Step 5: Apply embossing ink to the Creative people sentiment from the Artful Thoughts stamp set and stamp onto the bottom left corner of the card. Cover with Garden Patina embossing powder and heat set.

Step 6: On a small piece of white card stamp the butterfly from the same with embossing ink, covering the image with a mix of Cactus Flower and Carnation Red embossing powders before heat setting.

Step 7: Cover the edges of the larger square of white card with embossing ink with the Emboss It Dabber, cover in Garden Patina embossing powder and heat set with the Heat It Craft Tool.

Step 8: Cut around the embossed butterfly, leaving a narrow border, adhering it over the leaves. Add drops of Caribbean Coast Enamel Accents along the leaves and allow them to air dry.

Step 9: To finish, layer the black card onto the embossed white card, adding a machine stitched border if required. Finally stick the completed design onto the card blank.
