If you haven’t had time to try the new Dina Wakley Acrylic Spray colors in pastel and metallic hues, you should definitely try them out in your next project. This project focuses on the metallic sprays and how they can add some real depth to your art journaling.
Step 1: Scrape a generous amount of Texture Paste onto your tag in a random fashion. Be sure to rinse your stencil immediately. Let dry.
Step 2: Spray your tag using both sprays in separate areas to create a fading effect. Allow to dry.
Step 3: Spray both sprays onto a chipboard shape, with both colors. In this case, it is good to do several coats between drying to get the desired effect.
Step 4: Stamp text onto cardstock and allow to dry. Cut out and use your stamp pad to burnish edges for a grunged effect.
Step 5: Glue text to a piece of burlap and trim. Pull some threads along the edge to create fringe. Tear some pieces of Collage Tissue and audition your collection on your tag until you find a good balance for your collage.
Step 6: Glue all your pieces onto your tag with Ultra Thick Gel Medium.
Step 7: Cut some lengths of coordinating ribbon and add to the hole of your tag.
