Instructions
Maybe it’s the fact that my flowers are blooming, but when I saw the stencils in the new Dina Wakley MEdia release, I couldn’t help but think of spring! The Sideways stencil looks like little tulips when you turn it sideways (ha!), don’t you think? Let’s use it (and a few other things) to make a spring inspired spread in our art journals!

Step 1: Using a #24 round brush, spread two colors on your background. Here Cheddar and Turquoise was used.

Step 2: While it’s still wet, place the Pointed stencil over the painted background. Using a baby wipe, wipe away some of the color. This will make a reverse stencil effect.

Step 3: Using gel medium, adhere some Jumbled Letters collage tissue to the pages.

Step 4: Using a Mini Blending Tool, stencil a combination of similar colors over the background. Here Carnation, Fuschia, and Stoked were used.

Step 5: With a gel pen, add some journaling to the spread.

Step 6: Spray a chipboard shape with Gloss Spray for your focal point. Here, Turquoise was used.

Step 7: Using Ranger Archival Ink, stamp a floral design onto the pages.

Step 8: Finally, create a focal point using the chipboard shape, a tag, and some collage tissue. Attach all of the elements with Ultra Thick Gel Medium. Use Gloss Spray to add some splatters to your pages.
