Do you ever get inspired by the collage elements that you have on hand? Sometimes the images or in this case words, can inspire you to incorporate them into your design. Follow along and see how to play with the new Dina Wakley MEdia Text Collage Paper.
Step 1: Begin by tearing various scraps of Text Collage Paper and gluing them down to your pages with Ultra Thick Gel Medium. Try to leave some of your blank page too to add interest (here you can see the kraft page peeking through). Allow to dry thoroughly.
Step 2: Scrape some White Gesso on your page to tone down your collage and give the page some grunge.
Step 3: Using a Blending Tool and the Lattice Stencil, stencil randomly on top of your page to create even more tone-on-tone texture.
Step 4: Using a focal image from the Let the Art Out Stamp Set, stamp on White Cardstock. Cut image out and paste on top of black cardstock leaving an edge. Trim the black cardstock and your image will now have a mounted look for your page.
Step 5: Glue the image down and begin adding doodles to the page. Here a border was created with Sharpie and Fude Ball Pen.
Step 6: Doodle some text lines and pull out some of the text from the tissue to add to your lines. Here a play on the Blah, Blah, Blah tissue was matched in doodles with Sharpie pen.
Step 7: Finish with some White and Black Gesso paint splats.
