Follow along as I create a blooming journal page in the Dylusions Square Ledger Journal with couture and a lot of flowers.

Step 1: Create a quick background with 2 colours of paints and a baby wipe. Put a little paint on your page and spread all over the page with a baby wipe. Pick a second colour, add a tiny bit of paint on your craft sheet. Pick up the paint with a baby wipe and add the 2nd colour to 3 spots on your page. Don’t use it all over the page or you will end up with just 1 colour. Add a stencil and add some paint with the mini blending tool. Use a tiny bit, otherwise the paint will seep underneath the stencil and smudge the pattern.

Step 2: Make a square using the journaling block and a black posca.

Step 3: In this step you’ll need some masks. Stamp the flowers from the “blooming” stamp set on a sticky note paper. Cut out the images.

Step 4: Stamp the flowers all around the border using the masks and the different flowers and leaves and don’t forget to cover the inside of the square.

Step 5: This is how the border looks after using all the flower stamps.

Step 6: Pick out a pair of lovely couture bodies and heads.

Step 7: Because the background is a pastel pink purple, all the flowers will be pink and purple too, just a little brighter. If you want the images to pop out, use colours that are opposite on the colour wheel. For purple the opposite colour is yellow and for pink it is green.
If you use purple and pink on the images too you will get a more monochrome effect, which can be beautiful too.
All images are coloured with Dylusions Inks.

Step 8: Use the sticks from the Intense Colour Caykes & Sticks Set, to add shadowing and to create more depth (use them dry).

Step 9: Use some colouring pencils for the final details and a white marker for highlights.

Step 10: Outline the images using a posca 1mr marker and add more highlights if needed. And your page is finished.
