The Dylusions intense colour caykes & sticks are a wonderful, versatile medium. Use it to create unique backgrounds or to colour your stamped images. Set 1 has 12 wonderful colours which you can use on their own or blended into new colours to create more depth.

Step 1: Place a stencil on your journalpage and trace the shapes with the sticks. Pick a variety of colours from the Dylusions intense caykes and sticks set 1. Colour the shapes roughly, no need to be precise in this step.

Step 2: Dissolve the colours using the Dylusions waterbrush.

Step 3: Stamp a variety of images using the Dylusions Archival Ink Black Marble and glue your composition down on your page with the Dylusions glue stick.

Step 4: Use a brush (waterbrush or a one of the pink brushes) and colour your image. Make skin tone using lemon zest, funky fuchsia and a tiny bit of laidback lilac. Add a little chocolate drop for a more warmer skin tone.

Step 5: Let the first layer dry and add more layers for more depth.

Step 6: Use darker hues for shading. Blend funky fuchsia and laidback lilac to make a darker pink or blend laidback lilac with balmy night to make a darker lilac.

Step 7: Make finishing touches with Posca paint pens. Retrace faded lines in the stamped images and go over all the black parts of the image. Or use the white Posca paint pen to add highlights. Use the balmy night stick to add shades around the images and to push back the background.

Step 8: Make a border with the small Dylusions journaling block and add some doodling.

Step 9: Add a quote from the bigger backchat set and your page is finished.
