Fall Leaves Card by Cheiron Brandon

Hi there, hope you are enjoying the fall season if it is fall where you live now. I am fortunate enough to live in a place where the leaves turn beautiful colors each year and I wanted to make a card to reflect that. Let me walk you through the steps I took to create my card.

Instructions

Step 1: Cut a panel of Distress Mixed Media Heavystock using a Tim Holtz Stitched Rectangle die.

Step 2: Stamp a sentiment from the Handwritten Quotes set using a Tim Holtz Stamp Platform and Jet Black Archival Ink.

Step 3: Using Coffee Archival Ink, stamp a pattern of leaves from the Scribbly Leaves and Pods set all around the panel. Once this is done, I colored in the leaves with some watered down Dina Wakley Media paint to get a watercolor look.

Step 4: First, I painted a few leaves in Lemon.

Step 5: Then I added some Ruby (mixed with Fuchsia), Cheddar and Gilt. I added little splatters of the paint too in all of the same colors.

Step 6: To create a base for my card, I took the same colors of paint and added them to the panel through the Swirling Dashes stencil using an Ink Blending Tool.

Step 7: To finish this panel, I swiped Gilt paint around the edges with an Ink Blending Tool.

Step 8: I adhered my first panel to a piece of cardstock. Then I adhered the two panels together with foam adhesive tape.
