Liquid Pearls Enjoy The Journey Card by Miriam Prantner

Bright, bold, and ready for takeoff! This eye-catching card by Miriam Prantner showcases the latest colors of Liquid Pearls & Archival Inks paired with Tim Holtz stamps for a perfectly layered, mixed media look. From the vibrant background to the detailed stamped imagery, every element comes together to create a playful vibe that really pops!

Instructions

For today’s card I’m painting with Liquid Pearls two ways: to create a bold mixed media background as well as to color in stamped images.

Step 1: Squeeze small amounts of Ranger Kiwi, Emerald, and Blue Velvet Liquid Pearls onto Ranger Non-Stick Craft Sheet. Add a small amount of water using Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer to allow you to thin the Liquid Pearls a little. Using a wide paintbrush, randomly paint the color onto a panel of Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock moving from the lightest to darkest color.

Step 2: Add texture through stamping, using text/print image from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Cling Mount Love Struck set with Ranger Best Dressed Archival Ink, and Compass Rose and Globe images from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Cling Mount Stamp Travel Blueprint with Ranger Avocado Toast Archival Ink.

Step 3: Add dimensional texture by spreading Ranger Opaque Matte Texture Paste through Make-It Pegboard Stencil using the Simon Hurley create Paste Tool.

Step 4: Stamp postage image from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Cling Mount Stamp Travel Blueprint set onto Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Panel with Ranger Best Dressed Archival Ink. Use a stamp platform for this, and leave the stamp in place. Paint the image with Ranger Kiwi, Emerald, and Blue Velvet Liquid Pearls using a small paintbrush. Once dry, place the panel back into your stamping platform and stamp again to sharpen image.

Step 5: Assemble card. Adhere the painted/textured panel to a Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Card. Paint a white Letter It tag with Ranger Kiwi, Emerald, and Blue Velvet Liquid Pearls as you did in Step 1. Stamp sentiment from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Cling Mount Stamp Just Thoughts on tag with Ranger Best Dressed Archival Ink. Trim edges of tag and adhere to another tag of the same size. Add twine. Cut out postage image and adhere that along with the sentiment tag offset and slightly overlapping with foam adhesive.
