Just when I thought the Archival Ink palette and my Liquid Pearls collection could not be any more beautiful, the Ranger Team proved me wrong with a rainbow of FOURTEEN brand new shades to love!

Step 1: Gather Materials: Make-It Wild Hearts Clear Stamp Set, Sprinkle Hearts Stencil and Pegboard Stencil; NEW Archival Ink Colors: Sweet Treat, Avocado Toast, Big Plans, Best Dressed, Sand Castle and Dark Roast; NEW Liquid Pearls: Firecracker, Sweet Potato, Rubber Duck, Kiwi, Emerald, Blue Velvet, Royalty, and Truffle.

Step 2: Use Ranger's Stickles and Liquid Pearls Template to make consistent-sized dots of all the new Liquid Pearls Colors: Firecracker, Sweet Potato, Rubber Duck, Kiwi, Emerald, Blue Velvet, Royalty, and Truffle. (Note: this works really well when done on the Wendy Vecchi MAKE ART Stay-tion, using the magnets to hold the template; if any dots are pointy instead of round, just tap the Stay-tion a couple of times on your worktable and they'll flatten out nicely.) Set the template aside on a flat surface to allow the dots to dry completely, ideally overnight. When dry, you can remove them from the template using tweezers or the scraper from Simon's Paste Tools set.

Step 3: Place the Make-It Pegboard Stencil over a piece of Stark White Cardstock trimmed to 4.25 x 6". Apply Big Plans Archival Ink with the Mini Ink Blending Tool and a Domed Foam, making the ink darkest at the top left and bottom right corners of the panel, and letting the color fade out across the rest of the stencil.

Step 4: Apply Avocado Toast Archival over the panel from Step 3; again concentrating the darkest color in a swathe from the top left corner to the bottom right. Add just a little Dark Roast Archival to the very edges of the panel and set aside.

Step 5: Place the Make-It Sprinkle Hearts Stencil over a piece of Stark White Cardstock trimmed to 4.25 x 1.75". Apply a nice dark coat of Sweet Treat Archival Ink with the Mini Ink Blending Tool. Remove the stencil and without re-inking the foam, lightly apply the residual Sweet Treat color to the edges and corners of the panel. Add a very small amount of Dark Roast Archival to the edges of the panel and set aside.

Step 6: Using Emboss It Clear Ink, Ranger Black Embossing Powder and the Heat It Craft Tool, emboss the "Always and Forever" Heart, the two swallows, and the key from the Make-It Wild Hearts Stamp Set once each. Emboss the envelope three times; and the round flower with leaves five times. Allow all of the images to cool completely before proceeding.

Step 7: "Watercolor" the heart, birds and key with Archival Inks by smooshing your ink pads onto a craft sheet or palette and lightly misting them with Isopropyl Alcohol. Pick the color up with a Ranger Artist Brush exactly as you would if watercoloring, and paint the images using the following colors: Sweet Treat for the center of the heart and the birds' bellies; Best Dressed for the rest of the birds (except the shoulders) and the sash on the heart; Sand Castle mixed with a little bit of Dark Roast and a tiny drop of Rubber Duck Liquid Pearls for the tops of the birds' wings and the frame around the heart. Be sure to rinse the brush well in Isopropyl Alcohol when changing colors. Set aside and allow to dry before neatly cutting out all of the images with scissors.

Step 8: Add a dimensional coating of Firecracker Liquid Pearls to the hearts at the centers of the envelopes. Set aside on a flat surface and allow to dry completely before cutting out with scissors.

Step 9: Paint the flowers with Liquid Pearls that you've diluted with a few drops of clear water. Flower colors are as follows: one Firecracker, one Sweet Potato, one Rubber Duck, one Blue Velvet and one Royalty. Use Kiwi and Emerald on the leaves. Take care to clean the brush and palette well with water between colors. Set aside and allow to dry before cutting out with scissors.

Step 10: Assembly: Add the small Sprinkle Hearts strip to the large Pegboard panel approximately 1.25" from the top with Dina Wakley MEdia Glue. Affix the heart at the center of the smaller strip using foam squares. Add two flowers to the top right and three cascading down from the bottom left of the heart. Place the swallows over the flowers on either side of the heart. Add the three envelopes and key as pictured. Embellish with the multicolor enamel dots made in Step 1. Add the design panel to a white A6 card.

Step 11: Use coordinating stencils and inks to adorn an envelope; and stamp a sentiment inside, if desired. Sign the card and mail to someone ASAP... it will make their day!
