Instructions

Hi there, it’s Cheiron Brandon and I’m so happy to be here with you today sharing some ideas for Mother’s Day cards using stamps form the Letter It Family set. Today I’ll be showing you how you can use this set along with products in the other Ranger lines to make three beautiful and easy Mother’s Day cards for anyone on your list.

Mother's Day Cards by Cheiron Brandon Step 1

Step 1: For the cards I am showing you today, you will need the following: Ranger Letter It Family stamp set, embossing ink and embossing powder and Wendy Vecchi Blendable inks. I’ll also show you how I created the background for each of my three cards.

Step 2: For the first card, use Liquid Platinum embossing powder to create the sentiment ‘So glad you’re my mom’.

Step 3: Then create a background panel to use on the card using Alcohol Inks in Pink Sherbet, Patina, Gold Mixative and Shell Pink on Yupo® Paper.

Step 4: Adhere the sentiment of this card onto a piece of Gold Foil Paper and then onto the Alcohol Ink panel and add a tiny enamel heart.

Step 5: For the second card, use Wendy Vecchi Blendable Dye Inks to stamp a sentiment in different colors. In our family, all the grandkids call my mother-in-law ‘Mom Mom’ so I made a special sentiment for her using multi-color inks.

Step 6: Take the same colors of ink that you used for the sentiment and smoosh them onto the Craft Sheet and spray them with water. Then smoosh some watercolor cardstock into the inks and dry between building layers.

Step 7: Adhere the sentiment to a very thin mat of turquoise cardstock and adhere it to the card with adhesive foam and add an enamel heart.

Step 8: For the final (and I think my favorite card) I couldn’t forget about all my fun Dina paints and knew they had to be a card background. For this card, emboss the sentiment in Gunmetal embossing powder (not the Liquid Platinum shown in photo…oops!)

Step 9: Stamp the Dina Wakley Good Idea flower stamp with Wendy Vecchi Watering Can ink to create a flower pattern for my background.

Step 10: Then begin painting in the flowers in different colors of Dina Wakley Media Paint, starting with the big petals in Magenta and then working on the leaves in Evergreen, Lime and Olive.

Step 11: Once the painting is finished I set it aside to dry.

Step 12: When the panel is dry, adhere it to the card base. Then, adhere the sentiment panel to a vellum panel with adhesive foam and attach it to the floral panel and addan enamel heart.

I hope you have enjoyed these quick and easy cards. The Letter It stamps are the perfect way to add a beautiful sentiment to any card background you choose!
