Cassie Trask created this sweet spring Easter card using Simon Hurley create. Stamping Foam and Stellar Inks to build that eye-catching background. The Funky Argyle design pressed into the stamping foam gives this circle panel so much texture and movement—such a fun way to create a custom patterned backdrop! Finished with the adorable Bunny Hugs stamp and a bright sentiment banner, this card is bursting with personality and Easter cheer.

Hello, crafty friends! I can’t believe that Spring is fast approaching, at least it feels like it where I live. That had me in the mood to use an Easter theme for today’s project. Let’s get into the card!

Step 1: Heat up the circle from the Stamping Foam with the heat tool.

Step 2: Press the heated foam into the Funky Argyle Background Stamp.

Step 3: Trim a piece of Stark White Cardstock down to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”. Rub Later Gator, Fore! and Ivy League Stellar Ink onto the foam going lightest to darkest to ensure no cross contamination of the dark colors in the light colors. Stamp that onto the Stark White card panel.

Step 4: Using the Stupid Cupid Stellar Ink pad, put some ink onto a nonporous surface. Splatter some of that ink onto the panel using a waterbrush.

Step 5: Stamp the bunny image onto some watercolor cardstock using Jet Black Archival Ink.

Step 6: Watercolor the bunny using Stupid Cupid, Slippery When Wet, Later Gator, Tropical Tango, Shady and Weeping Willow Stellar Inks and a waterbrush.

Step 7: Blend Slippery When Wet Stellar Ink onto a piece of Stark White Cardstock, and stamp the sentiment using Black Widow.

Step 8: Die cut the bunny and the sentiment.

Step 9: Attach the panel to the front of a card base that measures 5 ½”x 8 ½” and is scored at 4 ¼”. Use foam tape to attach the bunny and sentiment.
