Holly, jolly, and oh-so-cute! Cassie Trask combines the new Simon Hurley create. Naughty or Nice Stamp Set, Festive Holly Stencil, and Red Flag Lunar Paste to create a clean and cheerful holiday card that's full of festive charm.

The crisp stenciled holly background gets a pop of dimension and shine from the Red Flag Lunar Paste, while the adorable reindeer adds the perfect whimsical finishing touch.

It's an easy design that's great for making multiples, so you'll have a stack of cards ready for Christmas!

Instructions

Hello everyone! If you’re anything like me, Christmas cards need to be started early if I want to get them made and mailed out in time. I was so excited when I saw all the new Christmas stamps that Simon Hurley create. and Ranger just launched. I couldn’t wait to dive in and make something. Let’s get started with our card.

Step 1: Trim a piece of Stark White cardstock down to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” and blend some Fore! Stellar Ink through the first stencil of the Festive Holly Stencil using a Medium Blending Brush.

Step 2: Take the next stencil from Festive Holly and blend some Weeping Willow through it to make the branches.

Step 3: For the final stencil of Festive Holly, spread some Red Flag Solar Paste through, using one of the Silicone Paste Spreaders. Clean up the stencil while the panel dries.

Step 4: Spread some Red Flag Solar Paste onto a 1” x 4 ¼” piece of Stark White Cardstock. Let that dry.

Step 5: Trim a piece of Watercolor Cardstock to 2 ½” x 4 ¼”.  Stamp the deer and sentiment from the Naughty or Nice onto the panel using Jet Black Archival ink.  Cover the image and sentiment with the clear embossing powder, and heat set that with a heat tool.

Step 6: Watercolor the image using Weeping Willow, Cookie Dough, Red Flag, and Fore! Ink using a waterbrush.

Step 7: With everything dry, trim the background down to 3 ¼”x 4 ¼”.  Trim the 1” Red Flag Solar Paste strip down to ½” x 4 ¼”.

Step 8: Assemble the card onto an A2 card base.
