For today’s project, I mix Stickles and Embossing powders with Colorize layered dies to add texture to layered die cuts.

Step 1: Cut pieces of Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White to the size of Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlets Die Set Winston Colorize scarf detail dies.

Step 2: For back scarf piece, press cardstock into Emboss It™ Clear Ink Pad, and emboss with Ranger Red Embossing Powder.

Step 3: For the front scarf piece, ink cardstock with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Ink, then spread Stickles Glitter Glue Christmas Red over piece with Simon Hurley paste tool. Set aside to dry.

Step 4: Die cut scarf pieces, and adhere together. The scarf has a base piece as well. For the base piece, spread Stickles Glitter Glue Mercury Glass lightly over a piece of Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White, allow to dry, then adhere to the detail piece.

Step 5: Repeat Steps 2-4 for additional Winston die elements. For this card, the following products were used. Note that if you have limited supplies, you can use Stickles Glitter Glue Star Dust for all of the Stickle elements as they are translucent, but you may wish to ink your cardstock pieces more heavily.
Top Hat: Ranger Black Embossing Powder for Base. Black Soot Distress Ink and Stickles Glitter Glue Star Dust for top layer. Note that the die for the base piece also cuts the eyes and buttons.
Holly Sprig: Ranger Green Tinsel Embossing powder for base. Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and Stickles Glitter Glue Lime Green for top layer. Note berries are cut from back layer of scarf detail.
Broom: Ranger Mixed Media Powder Hammered for base piece/ Scattered Straw Distress Ink and Stickles Glitter Glue Sandstone for middle layer. Fossilized Amber Distress Ink and Stickles Glitter Glue Star Dust for top layer
Bow: Antique Linen Distress Ink and Stickles Glitter Glue Sandstone
Carrot Nose: Carved Pumpkin and Stickles Glitter Glue Star Dust (only the base layer was used for this card).
Snowman Body: Stickles Glitter Glue Frosted Lace for base. For the front layer, plain Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock was used.

Step 6: Place Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Layering Stencil Sparkle Fade over a panel of Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock Gray trimmed down to 3 3/4” x 5”. Ink lightly in the corners of the panel with Picket Fence Distress Ink.

Step 7: Assemble the card. Adhere stenciled panel to Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Card. Adhere/assemble Winston die cut image. Cut small strip of black heavy stock, and use a white gel pen to add the sentiment. Adhere sentiment strip with foam tape.
