I have been wanting to create a card using this funny cat from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Stamp & Stencil Mixed Media #9 for a while now, and had so much fun creating the perfect backdrop for him.

Step 1: Ink a panel of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock with Broken China, Salty Ocean, and Uncharted Mariner Tim Holtz Distress Ink using the Ranger Ink Blending Tool.

Step 2: Spray the ink blended panel with Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Prize Ribbon, and Antique Linen Tim Holtz Distress Spritz after placing the panel in the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Splat Box.

Step 3: Place the Dylusions Shutters Stencil over the inked/spritzed panel, and ink with Broken China and Faded Jeans Tim Holtz Distress Ink, shifting the stencil to cover the full panel. Trim the panel down and ink edges with Faded Jeans Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

Step 4: Add metallic accents to the panel: Spread Simon Hurley create. Gold Rush Lunar Paste through the stars from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous - Element Stencil - Everyday Art, onto the panel and allow to dry. Add gold splatter using Tiim Holtz Distress Foundry Wax Gilded and a Ranger paint brush. Heat set. Repeat to add additional paste stars as needed.

Step 5: Stamp images from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Stamp & Stencil Mixed Media #9 onto Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock using Ranger Archival Ink Jet Black. Emboss using Ranger Embossing Powder Clear.

Step 6: Color stamped images using Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Pencils. Color directly onto the stamped image first, and then using a wet paintbrush, smooth and spread color.

Step 7: Assemble the card. Adhere inked/stenciled panel to a Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock White Card. Stamp sentiment from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Stamp & Stencil Mixed Media #9 set onto Tim Holtz Distress Black Heavystock using Emboss It™ Clear Ink and Ranger Embossing Powder Super Fine White. Fussy cut stamped and colored images. Adhere fussy cut images and sentiment to card using foam adhesive.
