Instructions

(1) Working on the Non-Stick Craft Sheet, condition the clay by slicing the block of clay into pieces approximately 1/8”wide using the Kato Nublade. Feed the slices through the clay machine on the largest setting. Fold the pieces when they come out of the machine and run them, folded side first through the machine. Repeat about 20 times, rolling it out on the widest setting to prepare your clay.

(2) Place the clay on a ceramic tile. With the Nublade cut the clay into a 2” x 2” square.

(3) Cut a 1” square of Cut-n-Dry Foam. Apply a few drops of Stonewashed Alcohol Ink to the foam and lightly dab onto the 2” square, covering the surface with ink. Let dry for a minute.

(4) Squeeze a few drops of Bottle Alcohol Ink onto the craft sheet. Using the small brush, paint varying stripes on one edge of the polymer square to simulate seaweed. (Note: Clean brush with blending solution then immediately wash brush with soap and water.) Let dry, then bake on ceramic tile according to manufacturers instructions. Let cool. Insert into Memory Frame following package instructions. Place on ceramic tile.

(5) Using conditioned clay, form a fish. Use needle tool to add detail. Place fish on the Non-Stick Craft Sheet and add color with drops of Red Pepper Alcohol Ink. Let dry.

(6) Form 3 small balls (to represent air bubbles) of polymer clay. Attach fish and ‘air bubbles’ to the background using drops of liquid polymer clay. (Liquid polymer clay will form a bond while baking.)

(7) Fill Mini Mister with water and add about 1/8th of a teaspoon of Perfect Pearls, shake well. Lightly mist framed clay. Let dry. Bake according to polymer clay package instructions. (Yes! You can bake the clay in the memory frame!) Lightly sand fish if desired. Clean up work surfaces of any Alcohol Ink with Blending Solution & paper towels.
