This project shows off a super fun and easy way to make your tags pop with vibrant,
interesting backgrounds using Dina Wakley MEdia Scribble Sticks. These finished tags are seriously perfect for adding personality and a splash of color to your mixed media journal pages.

Step 1: Grab a few tags of varying sizes. Using a large brush, swipe some White Gesso over them. Don’t worry about being too perfect and covering the whole tag.

Step 2: Using your favorite colors, scribble Scribble Sticks all over the tags. Make sure
to press pretty hard to get a lot of color onto the tags, especially when using a lighter
color.

Step 3: Once you’re done scribbling, use a wet paintbrush to activate the colors. Let
them swim together and puddle, making interesting areas on the tags. Allow the tags to dry completely.

Step 4: Add some stenciling to the background using various stencils and Glosses. You can also use more white gesso or some acrylic paint.

Step 5: Add focal areas to the tags by adhering a variety of collage tissue,
transparencies, stamped images, and phrases. Here a tiny attacher was used to attach the focal areas to the tags, along with Media Glue in various places.

Step 6: These tags make perfect focal points for journal pages! Add some to your
journal using a Tiny Attacher or Media Glue.
