Simon Hurley create Waving Hello Card Step 1

Step 1: Get ready for waves of fun! The next pull apart background stamp from Simon Hurley create. Is here. Working on the Wendy Vecchi MAKE ART Stay-tion, grab your rubber stamp and the ‘Woof!’ ink. Ink up the background (keep it together as one piece for this card) and lay your Stark White Cardstock on top. Press down evenly to ensure your whole image is stamped onto your cardstock.

Step 2: Using an acrylic block, stamp out the girl body, head, and surf board from the ‘Surf’s Up’ stamp set. Color this up with your favorite coloring medium. Bright colors work great here as they pop nicely against the grey of the background.

Step 3: Use a sharp pair of scissors to fussy cut the images. If you struggle with fussy cutting, try moving the paper, rather than the scissors, as you go along. This seems to help give smoother edges to your images.

Step 4: Use the Multi Medium Matte to adhere the surfer girl to her surfboard. Then, do the same to attach them to your background. Be mindful of your placement here – try to make it look like she’s riding the top of a wave. How fun!

Step 5: Use the anti-static pouch to treat a piece of black cardstock. Stamp ‘waving hello’ in Letter It Embossing Ink and then pour Ranger White Embossing Powder on top. Dump off the excess and melt the embossing powder with a heat tool. Cut the strip down to size (you can even give it a little angled edge if you like) and adhere it to the panel with Multi Medium Matte. Adhere the card panel to an A2 sized card base and you’re done!
