Wendy Vecchi Noel Chippie Card by Kimberly Boliver

Kimberly Boliver shows you how to create this festive card using Wendy Vecchi's new Holiday and Christmas Doodle Stamp Sets and Statements Chippies.

Instructions

I absolutely adore the new holiday stamps and chippies that were just released! I love the look of chunky words as the centerpiece on a card. I am combining one of the new Statements Chippies as the focal point with an Archival Ink lift-off technique for a fun background on this cute holiday card. I accented it with images from the Doodle Holiday and Doodle Christmas stamp sets.

Wendy Vecchi Noel Chippie Card Step 1

Step 1: Ink blend Morning Glory Archival Ink on a panel of Perfect Cardstock using the Ink Blending Tool. Ink blend Potting Soil Archival ink around the edges of the panel.

Wendy Vecchi Noel Chippie Card Step 2Step 2: Using the Make Art Stay-tion, position the Simon Hurley “The Loo” stencil over the ink-blended panel and hold it in place with the magnets. Then, use the Domed Ink Blending Tool and 91% alcohol to gently dab over the stencil to lift away some of the ink. Try not to overload the foam dome with alcohol.

Step 3: Paint Tarnished Brass Distress Spray Stain on the Noel Chippie with a Ranger Artist Brush. I used three to four coats.

Step 7: Blend Prickly Pear Archival Ink over the greenery spray to add a little more color, then cut the images out. Add three dots of Red Geranium Liquid Pearls and let it dry.

Step 8: Assemble the card by gluing the Noel Chippie to the panel using Perfect Card Adhesive. Add a small amount of foam tape to the bird and the greenery spray, then adhere it to the card. Adhere the whole panel to a white card base.
