FAQs

What are Perfect Pearls and how do you use them?

Perfect Pearls are pearlescent powders with a built-in binder for wet or dry techniques. Use dry by brushing over Perfect Medium or embossing ink for a soft shimmer, wet by mixing with water for a pearlescent wash, or mixed into paint, ink, or embossing powder for extra sparkle. They work on lots of surfaces and create luminous backgrounds, highlights, or layered effects.

What is Perfect Medium and do I need it to use Perfect Pearls?

Perfect Medium is a clear, sticky ink that acts as the base for dry Perfect Pearls. Apply it where you want the powder to stick, then brush on the powder, it only adheres where the medium is. You don’t need it for all Perfect Pearl techniques.

What is the difference between Perfect Pearls pigment powder and embossing powder?

Embossing powder melts with heat into a raised, glossy or metallic surface.  It’s dimensional and permanent. Perfect Pearls pigment powder is soft, flat, and pearlescent. It can be applied dry or wet for shimmer without heat or bulk. Many crafters use both: emboss a stamped sentiment, then dust Perfect Pearls over the background for a subtle glow.

What is the difference between Perfect Pearls, Liquid Pearls, and embossing powder Pearl finish?
  1. Perfect Pearls – flat, soft pearlescent shimmer (dry or water wash)
  2. Liquid Pearls – dimensional, raised pearlescent dots and lines
  3. Pearl Embossing Powder – heat-activated, raised pearlescent finish

Use Perfect Pearls for overall shimmer, Liquid Pearls for accents and dots, and Pearl embossing powder for elegant raised stamped designs.
