Instructions

Today I want to share with you a Fun Fall Foldable. I hope you’ll create this foldable with me!

Step 1: Cut 2 pieces of Ranger Mixed Media cardstock with a paper trimmer using the following measurements:
1″ X 9″- (Band)
4 1/4″ X 11″-(Foldable)
2 3/4″ X 8″- (Inserts)

Step 2: Using a Score Buddy, score each cut piece from step one with the following measurements:
Band
Score 1 1/2″ and 4 3/4″
Foldable
Score 1 1/2″, 4 3/4″, and 7 3/4″ (Or measure 3 1/4″ from the last score line if you have the small Score Buddy)
Inserts
Score all 3 pieces at 4″

Then fold each piece.

Let’s start with the BAND first.

Step 3: Spray the band on both sides with Dylusions Lemon Zest, Squeezed Orange, and Cherry Pie sprays. Dry with a Heat it Tool.

Stamp the cat from the Dylusions “Bits and Bats” stamp set using a Dylusions Journaling and Ranger Black Archival Ink. Cut out with Tim Holtz scissors.

Select some Fall-colored paper and cut a variety of leaves from Tim Holtz Autumn Gatherings Sizzlit using a Die Cutting Machine.

Glue Band together. Glue leaves from Autumn Gatherings Sizzlit and the cat to the band with Glossy Accents. The band is completed.

Now let’s work on the FOLDABLE.

Step 4: Spray one side of the foldable with Dylusions Lemon Zest and Pure Sunshine sprays. Dry with a Heat Tool.

Step 5: On the other side of the foldable add random marks using Black Gesso and a palette knife. Make some marks thicker than others. Set aside to dry.

Step 6: Once the Black Gesso is dry on the foldable, use your finger and cover the Black Gesso with White gesso. Before the White Gesso dries wipe some of it off with a baby wipe to show a little of the Black Gesso underneath. Using the White Gesso will allow the Dylusions paint to be more vibrant.

Step 7: With your finger add Dylusions Lemon Zest, Squeezed Orange and Melted Chocolate paint over the Gesso on the foldable. Before the paint dries wipe a little off to show the Gesso underneath. Set aside the foldable to dry.

Step 8: After the foldable is dry. Close the foldable. On the front stamp the cobweb from the Dylusions “Bits and Bats” stamp set using Jet Black Archival Ink.

Let’s put the INSERTS together.

Step 9: Spray the inside of all 3 inserts with Dylusions Lemon Zest and Pure Sunshine sprays. Dry with a Heat Tool.

Step 10: Spray the outside of one of the inserts with Dylusions Lemon Zest, Pure Sunshine, and Squeezed Orange sprays. Dry with a Heat Tool.

Step 11: Spray the outside of the remaining 2 inserts with Dylusions Lemon Zest, Pure Sunshine, Squeezed Orange, and Tangerine Dream sprays. Dry.

Step 12: Lay the inserts on your Craft Sheet so that the dark orange inserts are on the top and the bottom and they open from the right. Lay the light orange insert in the middle so that it opens from the left.

Step 13: Stamp FALL on the light orange insert that’s in the middle using Dylusions “Dy’s Alphabet” stamp set and stamp the spider from the Dylusions “Bits and Bats” stamp set using Jet Black Archival Ink.

Step 14: On the other two dark orange inserts, stamp the solid leaves from the Dylusions “Doodle Parts” stamp set and the cobweb from Dylusions “Day of the Heads” stamp set using Black Archival Ink. Set aside.

Step 15: Spray Dylusions Cherry Pie, Pomegranate Seed, Pure Sunshine, and Postbox Red sprays on the third piece of Ranger’s Mixed Media cardstock. Let the puddles dry to create texture.

Step 16: Apply Dylusions Black Marble paint with a Mini Ink Blending Tool with Foam through the Dylusions “Cobwebs Large” stencil on the previously sprayed red Mixed Media paper.

Step 17: Place the Dylusions Medium Flossie mask on the red cobweb paper and choose where you want to trace and cut Flossie out.

Step 18: Cover the inside flap of the inserts with scrap paper or sticky notes and spray Dylusions Lemon Zest and Pure Sunshine sprays through the Dylusions”Alphabet Border Large” stencil.

Step 19: Inside the inserts, stamp the cracked wall stamps from the Dylusions “This Old House” stamp set.

Step 20: Flip the inserts over on the back and tape the inserts together with painter’s tape or removable tape.

Step 21: Flip the inserts back over. Glue Cobweb Flossie down inside the inserts using Glossy Accents. Dry completely.

Step 22: Remove the Painter’s Tape or Removable tape from the back of the inserts and also remove the scrap paper from the flaps. Cut the inserts apart using a Paper Trimmer.

Now let’s put it all together.

Step 23: Position the inserts on the light orange side of the foldable making sure Flossie’s body lines up. Glue the inserts onto the light orange side of the foldable with Glossy Accents. The dark orange inserts are on the top and bottom and the light orange insert is in the middle. The small scored area is on the top.

Using Dylusions White Linen and Black Marble Paint Pens add highlights and accents to the foldable.

Step 24: Close the foldable and slide the band around it. Now your project is complete.
