Hi everyone, Bobbi here! I’m so happy to be with you on the Ranger Projects Page today. I’m sharing this elegant Archival Ink friend card with a tutorial! Hope you’ll join me.

Step 1: Apply a thin layer of Dina Wakley White Gesso to front of Tim Holtz Distress #8 Mixed Media Heavystock Tag and 4.25 x 5.5" Mixed Media Heavystock Panel using paintbrush. Dry with Heat It Craft tool.

Step 2: Squeeze a couple drops of Antique Linen Distress Paint onto glass mixed media mat or other non-stick surface and lightly mist the paint with water. Press the gessoed tag and panel into the paint mixture until covered. Dry with a Heat it Tool. To add more distress, pick up droplets of color off the mat, blotting to pick up the color (not swiping), then drying with heat tool.

Step 3: Ink the rose stamp from the Tim Holtz by Stampers Anonymous Floral Shop set using Seafarer Archival Ink. Stamp onto center of colorized tag, leaving about an inch of white space at the bottom portion of the tag unstamped. Seafarer is such a beautiful shade of blue!

Step 4: Ink the second flower and text stamps from the Tim Holtz by Stampers Anonymous Floral Shop set using Pebble Beach Archival Ink. Stamp images on colorized card panel from left to right creating an interesting background.

Step 5: It should look something like this. 

Step 6:  Roughly tear off the bottom inch of the stamped and colorized tag. Stamp “Hello Friend” greeting from the Tim Holtz by Stamper's Anonymous Tiny Text stamp set with Seafarer Archival Ink onto scrap of tag that was torn.

Step 7: Yes we are heat embossing with Archival Ink! It embosses beautifully, it just dries a little faster than traditional embossing ink. Working quickly, place stamped image on ascrap piece of paper. Generously sprinkle Ranger Clear Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder over the stamped image. Shake off excess Embossing Powder and return to jar. Heat stamped image with a heat tool to melt embossing powder.

Step 8: Swipe a little Walnut Stain Distress Crayon onto mat or non-stick craft sheet and pick up color with finger. Smudge color using finger around border of tag, panel and greeting for shading.

Step 9: Add a couple of drops of each Alcohol Ink color onto an Alcohol Ink Blending Felt.  The colors used were Smolder Alcohol Pearl, Gold Mixative and Mushroom. Pounce color onto Tim Holtz idea•ology Key and Hardware head using Alcohol Ink Blending Tool.

Step 10: Trim a piece of Tim Holtz idea•ology Gold Metallic Kraft-stock to fit A2 Kraft card base. Attach gold kraft-stock and stamped panels to A2 Kraft card base using Distress Collage Medium Matte.

Step 11: Attach tag and greeting to card front using Letter It Black Adhesive Foam.

Step12: To finish off the card tie a bow and attach key with craft string to top of tag. Then adhere hardware heads with Distress Collage Medium.
