Instructions
Step 1: To start making one of the backgrounds, lay down the Non-Stick Craft Sheet. Using Simon Hurley create. Dye Ink in Bee Sting, Stark White Cardstock and a Mini Ink Blending Tool, start inking the whole A2 size background until it is fully covered.
Step 2: To make the Christmas Plaid, use the Simon Hurley create. Classic Flannel Background Stamp and Archival Jet Black Ink. Ink the stamp thoroughly and stamp both the red inked background and another A2 size piece of Stark White Cardstock.
Step 3: Stamp the tree from the Simon Hurley create. Caroling Squad Stamp Set on Tim Holtz Distress® Watercolor Cardstock with Archival Jet Black Ink.
Step 4: Start coloring the tree with Tim Holtz Distress® Markers in Lucky Clover and Mowed Lawn. Blend them with a Waterbrush to create some light and dark areas on the tree.
Step 5: Finish the tree by coloring the stump with Ground Espresso and Vintage Photo Distress Markers. Cut out the tree with scissors.
Step 6: Trim the red background panel on the sides and top. Then cut a flag end with scissors on the bottom.
Step 7: To make the glitter background, ink the white and black plaid background with Clear Embossing Ink and sprinkle with Sticky Embossing Powder. Tap off excess powder and return to jar. Heat thoroughly until melted.
Step 8: While the Embossing Powder is still hot, sprinkle Tim Holtz Distress® Glitter in Clear Rock Candy all over the background and tap the excess off. Now the background is glittery.
Step 9: To add dimension to the card, apply Foam Adhesive to the red panel and the tree. Adhere those to the white glitter background.
Step 10: Add detail to the tree and red plaid background. Use Liquid Pearls in: Garnet, Royal Blue, Gold Pearl and Onyx Pearl for the string of lights. Then use Stickles in: Diamond and Gold for the star on the tree and some glittery dots on the red background panel.
Step11: Use Multi Medium Matte to adhere the panel to an A2 size card base. Stamp Merry Christmas sentiment from Simon Hurley create. Caroling Square Stamp set in Bee Sting Ink and cut out with scissors. Glue with twine and sentiment at the base of the tree.
